Normally I would support such a project, but when Canterbury had a ground in the city their attendances rarely got beyond double figures. Then I see Quinn Estates and AONB in the same article and alarm bells really begin to sound.

Years ago when we were looking at sites to build our new stadium we were looking to build at the bottom of Hermitage Lane in Aylesford. This was designated as an 'Area of Natural Beauty'when in reality it was an overgrown field full of horse shit next to a smelly pikey camp .

As an addendum to my last comment they have now built a McDonald's opposite this site and the horses have disappeared so l too hear alarm bells ringing.

Yes, more housing. Remember when the club published a map of dozens of potential sites in the area? Wonder how many of those have now been built on.

When Mr Clark asserts that Faversham is the closest they have got to Canterbury, geographically, he needs to check the mileage between Faversham and Canterbury and then between Herne Bay and Canterbury. He will thus see that he has, effectively, got something wrong.

Perhaps relations are not good between the 2 clubs.

A couple of observations. That is one strange looking main stand; one or two rows of seats? The stadium will be five miles from Canterbury.

49 sites looked at of which 3 were shortlisted.
May get around to looking at all of the other 46 but for now:
No. 1: Woodcut Farm, Hollingbourne - still undeveloped I believe No. 2: Hermitage Lane, south of Barming Station - building work on several hundred houses started late 2017 No. 3: Hermitage Lane, opposite Barming Station entrance - no development since map published

Was that the booklet with the cartoon of shifty looking fans spreading false rumours against Jim Thompson?

Was that the booklet with the cartoon of shifty looking fans spreading false rumours against Jim Thompson? That's the one although the page in question is titled "The things people say".
12 page A4 glossy propaganda tool with, an obviously much younger, Bill Williams in the club photo on the front.
