Dover - the new Margate? Saturday's lineup: 1 Mitch Walker 28 Josh Debayo 2 Josh Passley 5 Kevin Lokko 23 Bedsente Gomis 29 Bobby-Joe Taylor ? Jai Reason 8 Mitch Brundle 27 Stuart Lewis 12 Inih Effiong 10 Jamie Allen 31 Lee Worgan 15 Manny Adebowale ? Moussa Diarra 18 Nortei Nortey ? Ryan Huckle What is it with these seaside towns and ex-Stones?? Effiong, wasn’t he the massive lump who played for Woking against us in the 4-4 game last season That's him - 6'3" - bizarrely played two games for Ross County in the Scottish Premier between Woking and Dover.

During his time here he was one of the most passionate players we had, always tried no matter what the odds.

Ended up trying to do everything. Also, your last comment is a bit harsh, he always gave heart and soul whoever he was playing for.

I never liked all the 'look how much I love the club' nonsense, even less after the way he acted on boxing day

I never liked all the 'look how much I love the club' nonsense, even less after the way he acted on boxing day He was playing for another club and giving his heart and soul to them, just like he did for us when we played Ebbsfleet. Kissing the badge and other similar gestures aren't important. It's what they do on the pitch that matters, and he always gave 100% for us. And what he did for Dover doesn't diminish what he did for us.

I was thinking more of him pretending to be hurt, getting one of our players sent off and then shouting a load of expletives at our fans (which he did right in front us) I do take on board your point, I've just never really rated him as a footballer and the faux fan stuff never washed, in fact I suspect he does that to distract from his limited ability

For 85% of his stay with us he was worthy of his shirt, name one player last year that you can say the same about.

He was never a national league player in my opinion and was a part of the reason we struggled at that level - we needed better to survive there

Funny how Spurs saw his coaching potential but we didn’t. Like Worgs having to go to coach at Dover and then we go and get Lewington who has taken so long to decide if he wants to still be a Stone we should withdraw any offers and tell him to be on his way as clearly we would be his 25th choice club by now! Maybe Stu had hoped to replace JS1 and left for Dover when we didn’t even consider him! Pure speculation on my part that one but a fascinating thought.

Id say it was more down to Dover offering him a 2 and a half year contract on decent money. Worgs was only under contract till the end of the season with us & I highly doubt we were going to offer the type of deal Dover did.
