He's done miracles at Maidstone, we don't kick him out just because things aren't going well at the moment. This is not the f**king Premier. At the same time it’s a business and I would not have thought relegation was in the plan given the owners thoughts of going full time and aiming for playoffs desire earlier this season. It’s the owners decision who probably would give him , should we get relegated, at least a few months into the season to be on track to go straight back up.

The business model works just as well in the NS, in fact it might work better - crowds attracted by a side winning (hopefully) most of the time, instead of struggling, and all the excitement of a championship challenge, play-offs, etc. And then we go back into a league we know well, so no horrible surprises this time. We were (are?) not ready for the NL. Maybe we just have to face that?

I think maidstone are ready but we need a group of players to whom playing for maidstone means something not an overwhelming number of wannabes and journeymen

The thing that worries me the most is the interviews Jay gives after matches. If hes as low as he sounds he seems to be lacking belief in himself and if he can no longer inspire belief in his players then we are in for a pretty grim ride.
Id stick with Jay this season whatever happens as he is the reason we have risen from the Ryman South so quickly. He has earned the breathing room he just needs to find someway to turn it all around. Sadly what seems to be coming across is that a good man and good players believe they are beaten already

So basically are we are stuck then with Saunders for ever in some people’s minds? Teams evolve right ? 15 on the bounce say he’s not quite so good as some reckon. If we go down he should go. Yeah he is shit isn’t he. 3 promotions in 4 years was pure luck. It is embarrassing that the 1st sign of trouble then people’s answer is to sack the manager. Hasn’t his previous years performance earned him a bit more loyalty from us so called fans? Are we really that big time that we want to emulate the hire and fire approach of premier league? How thoroughly depressing.

Personally I think it is time to go for Jay. The tactics are so predictable every week and teams know how to play against us. Knowledge is poor of when to make subs as well, demostrated today and not for the first time. If he had not achieved what he had done in the past, he would not be our manager right now. It's a results business and right now we are not getting them. Second time a 'dip' in form has happened in last two seasons. First season is acceptable but not two in a row.
Look how well Solihull have done since appointing Mark Yates and Leyton Orient with Justin Edinburgh. Change is not always a bad thing. Prehaps it is time we tried it.

Taken us as far as we can go 😂😂😂 you think a change in manager will suddenly get us up. Nothing to do with the players underperforming?

I love Jay but tactically he had a meer today against a very big strong Barrow defence. At this level there must be a plan B if you haven't watched your opponents.

Bit of both i think, he doesn't fill me with any confidence what so ever, he looks like he's given up when I see him on the touchline and listen to the interviews. As for the play-offs if you thought for one minute we were going to finish anywhere near there, you are very much deluded.

As with most people in life, he's reached his level of incompetence. I can only assume that jay and Nicky are discussing their Saturday night takeaway choices during the game. Everyone could see that their no 6 had Ross in his pocket all match. What did we do...keep punting the ball 50 yards and wait 70 mins to make a change. We didn't create a chance for god's sake! Thanks but goodbye and good luck in the future.

If he was all upbeat in interviews people would be saying things like is he deluded has he just watched the same game etc yet when he tries to reflect the mood of the fans he gets panned too.

Unfortunate phrasing given the topic.
