Gills fan in peace. 1st visit to your ground for me. Your club has done amazingly well to get where you are now and I look forward to renewing acquaintances, maybe and hopefully in a 1st team fixture of some sort in the future. Good luck for the rest of the season, (after tuesday). <iframe width="17.24000000000001" height="3.780000000000001" style="position: absolute; width: 17.24px; height: 3.78px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 0px; top: 0px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_23073198"></iframe> <iframe width="17.24000000000001" height="3.780000000000001" style="position: absolute; width: 17.24px; height: 3.78px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 804px; top: -149px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_98573032"></iframe> <iframe width="17.24000000000001" height="3.780000000000001" style="position: absolute; width: 17.24px; height: 3.78px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 10px; top: -14px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_57051219"></iframe> <iframe width="17.24000000000001" height="3.780000000000001" style="position: absolute; width: 17.24px; height: 3.78px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 804px; top: -14px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_86250308"></iframe> True, we have come a long way in a very short time, but in reality are still miles behind Gillingham in terms of facilities and infrastructure. Even the new Town End is only likely to just about bring us up to Football League level. Both my bosses are Gills fans, but there is never any needle; they are genuinely interested in and pleased at Maidstone's progress.

I would think that making progress in their respective leagues is far more important to both clubs than a midweek game in the Kent Snr Cup. Stones still have a good chance of getting back on track for the play-offs and Gillingham have a fast depleting squad with a number of huge league games approaching thick and fast. Apart from occasional chants from half a dozen Gills fans at recent away games i haven`t detected much in the way of build-up for the game and the Gills will almost certainly field a much changed side. I hope that Maidstone get back into the F/League, I seriously think they will. Perhaps then we might see some renewed rivalry between MUFC & GFC; I`m not sure it exists too far and wide at the moment though !

Ps at least I got the bottle to show who I am rather than hide behind a.cartoon picture if you dont like my views you know who I am come and have a little chat This type of behaviour is the reason people don't take you seriously. Chest pushed out thinking that makes him macho man. We're football fans if you're so intent on looking for a fight over someone feeling differently about a football match, you should be banned from the ground.

All this talk of rivalry and aggro has put me off taking my son to this match. Not that I am scared, but would rather not take my son to a match where some idiots may make a scene. Thank you for spoiling the opportunity to enjoy a footballing night out you morons whoever you may be.

Thank you for spoiling the opportunity to enjoy a footballing night out you morons whoever you may be. Why has it? You don't need to be anywhere near it. This is the one good thing about segregation; we all know IF there is trouble during the game it will only be in the middle and to the right (looking from the town end) of the "new" stand. There is no reason not to go, there are plenty of other places to stand. We stand at the left hand side and never see let alone be near any trouble. If you prefer to sit I expect there will be a few spares. Shouldnt let any possible trouble makers put you off.

Thanks for your comments Daveu and Meerkat87. I get what you say but on balance just didn't like the whole feeling stirred up around it, so decided to keep an eye on the game from home. Hope you both enjoy a great game.

I f everyone adopted your attitude what a sad state football would be in, you cannot let these idiots win. I take my boy to almost every stones match home an away and I would never miss a game because of a possible crowd trouble, the place is big enough to keep away from it if it ever happened. It will be all handbags at half a dozen paces. Well I hope it will be.

Rather odd scene at the G tonight.Elvis end a third Gills, a third Stones and a third clear space, in the middle. At 7.35, less than 100 in Town End, about 20 in front of the main stand ( barely a third full) and maybe fifty on the Riverside. Much posturing at the EE, keeping themselves warm and the stewards interested. Most of all it shows the EE should not be shared with away supporters and wasted space.

Whisper it quietly, we played some good football first half, Paxman scored a beauty and whatever side Gills have put out were looking very second best. Cue for our usual charity and we give away a soft goal...

Well done stones. You overcome a potential banana skin there. No cup upset.
