What player has appeared in the PL; FL Divs 1, 2 and 3; the Conference; Champions League; and UEFA Cup? That's as the question was put to me today. I dont as yet no the answer and not going to google it or whatever. Thoughts? Marcus Bent?

Bent: no Conference or Champions League as far as I know? Hayles: no UEFA or Champions League. Vardy: UEFA short as you say.

And he has gone up and down the divisions I'm sure, just didn't know if he might have finished off in Conf. Were Fulham not in UEFA when Hayles was there? You're right though I dont think any champions league team he was at

Everton never actually played in the Champions League - going out in the playoffs, which Bent did play in.

Well, I would say a champions league play off to get into the group stage of the competition is part of the competition lol.

Its called a champions league qualifier because you're not in it because you haven't qualified. Much like the FA Cup...but try telling hundreds of clubs in the qualifying rounds that they're not in the FA Cup unless they reach the first round proper

As the teams that win the qualifiers stay in the competition to enter the league stage. Champions League Qualifiers. It says it on the tin!

Haha, I'm confident enough for you to do so.
As far as Selley goes, he wouldn't have played Champions League - or even European Cup football for Arsenal.
A couple of Cup Winners Cup games would be the best he could've achieved.

The Cup Winners Cup and the Fairs Cup merged to form the UEFA Cup, which became the Europa League, so he may tick that box at least.

Incorrect, the UEFA Cup ran side by side with the Cup Winners Cup until the CWC was scrapped in 1999. The Fairs Cup was an unofficial predecessor to the UEFA Cup, which then became the Europa League.
