Do we think Jake could have done this at NS level now he's fit? Did Hak miss a trick by not sending him out on loan for a few months after his injury? If I remember correctly Jake was offered a contract but thought he'd get more game time elsewhere, so I don't think you can say Hak missed a trick. Ironically, given our lack of fit strikers, he may well have got plenty of game time had he stayed.

He would have been like Jack Richard's,never given a chance and eventually destroying his confidence. The move for Jake is a good one. To be fair, it's not like Jack Richards has proved Hak or Still wrong, he's now in his 3rd season with Margate & you don't hear much about him at all.

We took his confidence and kicked it out of the park.

Hmmm OK, a rephrased question - had Hak put more trust in him coming back from injury, how do we think he would have done? I know Hak wouldn't have seen much of him, so this is a pure speculation question. I can't recall ever having seen him play, but it does sound like he knows where the back of the net is so just wondering if we think he has National South level football in him (and if so, when will Dartford sign him?)

I think if he was fully fit he would have been fine at this level but I think with our new squad the management are planning for NL next season and that might be a step to high for him, time will tell. I also notice Tommy Fagg is banging them in left right an centre, was he just on loan for us or did we let him go as well?

I'm not sure Jake's style suited what was being built. He looked a little lightweight in comparison to Rendell and Akanbi who were essentially battling it out for one forward position with others, like Porter and Porter, played off. He also picked up injuries.
Tommy Fagg came on as a sub in the FA Trophy against Oxford a few years ago. From memory the team wasn't the full first team and had 'others' included who weren't contracted, of which he was one.
