Still far from sorted out, by the sound of it. I hope Millwall are putting up candidates at the next council election.

And it rumbles on... www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/17/millwall-inquiry-battle-den-lewisham-councilIt occurs to me that if you are a small club with a stadium in greater London, especially in the centra/wealthier/commuter areas, sooner or later you're going to run into this sort of bother - your stadium is basically taking up a lot of VERY valuable land. The underlying cause of Orient's recent hassle is much the same thing - the only reason Hearn wanted to relocate them to a stadium which would have made them look like Gateshead, was so he could sell Brisbane Road. What lies in store for similar clubs like QPR, Fullham, Brentford, etc? And maybe not just the smaller clubs - is Palace's ground still owned by someone else?

And maybe not just the smaller clubs - is Palace's ground still owned by someone else? So, just the smaller clubs then. (The club has owned the stadium since 2010) That's good news then (I couldn't be arsed to google it that late at night!). After I posted that I was thinking about the impact of this situation on non-league sides too, but I haven't done any 'research'. Clubs like Barnet and Wealdstone come to mind as no longer being in their original grounds (for whatever reasons), and, of course, there's Hamlet, who seem to be on the verge of losing their ground almost constantly. But maybe this is just an unrepresentative selection. Anyone care to do any actual work on this?!
