Nellie Gerkins Irish pub added. nelliegerkins.co.uk/Surprisingly good atmosphere, if a little pricey. Doing a map search, that would mean they took over the space that was Fifi's Brasserie. Hard to imagine an Irish pub with gobs of marble in it.

Hard to imagine an Irish pub with gobs of marble in it. Well, at least the owner is Irish - which puts it way ahead of most 'Irish' pubs.

The link to the restaurant obviously works for them. My beef stew and dumplings was brought from next door, while drinks were being prepared to be taken to Mu Mu’s. You have to admire how quickly he has recovered and rebuilt after the fire. Quite remarkable what they've done. He's a nice guy, very friendly and chatty - and full of stories! But he's also a 'typical' business man - he's not doing this for fun. Quite a force to be reckoned with, all in all.

So Nellie Gerkins is a newly opened part of MuMus, reopened after the fire?

It was there before, but survived the fire. Had a dread of trying an Irish theme pub, but it’s actually OK. Bit expensive and probably a different crowd at night. One of big Brendan's favourite boozers.

The Canopy bar in the Royal Star Arcade has shut down after only one year, the Canopy took the place of the 4 degrees bar which lasted around 2 years or so. Its not an ideal location for a bar it seems 😪

Looks like a knife and fork job. Have seen scrumpy that is less cloudy - though no doubt just as potent. Sounds like half a pint would be more than enough.

It really pisses me off that this bar is literally next door to where I used to live - but didn't open until after I'd moved to the other side of town!!

Looks like the Maid Inn is being refurbished with a new side bar in the middle. No idea what it will reopen as. A pub that is cheaper than the original

I’m guessing a cafe bar like the Phoenix a few doors down. Daytime trade and catch the pre-clubbers. Just been barred from the Chequers Sevenoaks for refusing to pay their outlandish prices, wont be going back anyway so no hardship.

Most obviously, Ukraine war and barley supplies, CO2 supplies, general inflation, cross-channel supply routes and staff shortages
