What Taj Barming roundabout? Can't believe that junction justifies a roundabout.

A little bit over the top with praise methinks. It is a decent pub and reasonably priced beer and food though the menu is a bit sparse. It has a cracking garden that everyone heads for this time of year usually leaving the main bar empty. They also have a mobile bar that caters in the town centre when there is anything on. I only go in there if I'm hobbling from the town centre to the Royal Oak as its half way and I can rest my weary legs. I did go to see All Day Falling live a few weeks ago but usually their music is on a Saturday night and my loyalty is to the Oak,if they put their music on Fridays I would use it more . Worth a bus ride? No,not unless you are making a day out of visiting the town.

I hate bloody KoL and their stupid "we notice you have an ad blocker running" crap.
So, you noticed? Did you also notice I didn't bother to read your article as a result? Happy with that?
FFS this is the ONLY site that does this!!!

For a while the Saxon chief became the unofficial watering hole for post Maidstone games when we were at London road after reformation. This was primarily because PBB had been banned from the White Horse and Harvey's sports bar right near the ground. The pub was quire a walk up that hill and I still to this day don't know why we did it when the horse much closer and downhill. I don't remember the pub being anything out of the ordinary but it was usually quite crowded on a Sat afternoon. Of course it was only a matter of time before PBB was thrown out of there as well.

It was an OK pub, normal sort of local - you felt a bit out of place if you weren't a regular, but I've been to a lot less friendly places. There was a shop next door which was called the Saxon Maid! (It no longer is.) It is a hell of a walk, up a long, steep hill, from the old ground, though...

FFS this is the ONLY site that does this!!! No it’s not. Many sites ask you to disable your ad blocker. I’ve never been so desperate for a story that I’ve ever complied.

Despite it being really close to my wife's family, I've only been there once. I watched Carlisle in a final of something or other. When Carlisle scored, I reacted a little and some chump spent the next 20 minutes making comments about disliking Welsh teams/people, in an obvious attempt to goad me. He shut up when his mate pointed out that CAR was for Carlisle not Cardiff

Cocktail fans will be devastated at the closure of the Blu Butterfly in Earl Street. A new sign proclaiming “Stubbees” has appeared. The only thing I can find on that is a brewery.
