Yep, Mavila does look good, in the little we have seen Bobby Joe is nailed on to start these days But Murphy needs to do more to keep his place Under pressure for his place from Nathan now Although Ben scored a decent goal on Saturday, I have not been that impressed with his overall contribution in the past 3 matches. Also think that Flish's best position is playing 'off the striker'. If Liam keeps his place or if Jay signs another front man (and he will) Ben will have one hell of a job competing with Flish for a place in the starting line up. We need depth of squad. Imagine another flish type injury, suddenly we could be really up against it. So wouldn't expect too many more departures. Also it is as well we are not tied to transfer windows in this league

I think Ben is a superb crosser of the ball and more than a decent squad player. Pressure is on other new boys being ousted before Ben has any concerns. Ben played a blinder last season at concord and at least when he takes a corner it stays on the pitch... Tbh with DD gone I'm pretty comfortable with the squad we have at present and the additions may just add the extra depth we need now

I think the best position for flish is behind the striker. He is wasted out wide. He needs to be involved in the game and this would be his best position. Not sure where I would play ben as he is also wasted out wide also. Maybe squad rotation between Liam flish and Ben. Depending who we play. Murphy hasn't done much so far. For him to keep his position he needs to score goals and he hasn't done that yet. I would give Mavila a run in the side. He looks a good player with lots of pace. I'd give flish a free role To go with his burger...?

Whatever truth to the suggestions of Flish carrying a bit of excess weight on his return to pre season training, all such talk has been consigned to history His high octane performances have have been excellent and he is clearly firing on all cylinders. I think he has been helping Jay and the team out by playing as the front target man, maybe because of the unexpected demise of DD. Liam offers an alternative up front, so perhaps we will soon see Flish playing in his preferred/best position, just off the main striker. In the meantime, the rumour-mill persists that JS is looking to recruit another striker, sooner rather than later

Both that left have being attack minded players, whilst only one of the 2 in is attack minded, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see there's at least one slot available for a striker or attacking mid.

Agree he's adaptable but don't believe Jay has signed him as a defender Like Bobby Joe he can play at the back but his future with the Stones is as an attacking wide player He will be competing with Murphy for a place in the starting line up. Time will tell !

Yemi Odubade has just been released by Eastleigh
Winger/Striker with plenty of experience at this level....maybe he could be an option.
