Can't really see what I've posted to justify the name calling, but if it's what floats your boat I guess it's OK. Maybe you need to change the last letter of your username to a T. Sooooo last season . And see nws we have the proof the icing on the cake ....With this one ^^^... .... its back ..THE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS TOMORROW ♡♡. Indeed. We are all off and running now.

Cant we understand York's frustration after what happened to us in the Play Off Final last year? I know its a different scale of game and problem, but they're just football fans (like us) wanting to go and watch their team play and being denied the right to do so (assuming they sell out). From their perspective, our ground is substandard in terms of capacity requirements from the league and they have been provided fewer tickets than the minimum stated in league rules. We know the situation and we can understand it, rationalise it and justify it - but they just see that they're being given fewer tickets than they want and they feel they're entitled to under league rules (and from that perspective, they probably have a stronger case against us than we had against Ebbsfleet last year).

I agree with most of your post except the last sentence. Without dragging up old arguements, the Ebbsfleet ticket arrangements were an absolute disgrace when you see how much space was left on the terracing. I can totally understand York's frustration but for us there really is nothing we can do. Ebbsfleet were just being unhelpful (mild term). The reality is we are a conference national team without a conference national stadium at the moment. A victim of our success. We can only apologise to York City and other clubs whose fans might miss out. At least it isn't a cup/play off final and the situation will improve once the new stand is built.

I understand what you're saying Steve - what I meant was that Ebbsfleet gave us an allocation greater than the minimum described in the rules, whereas we're giving York an allocation smaller than what is described in the rules (presumably with "health and safety" justification) - from that perspective, York seem to have more of a case than we did.
Having said that - if we talk common sense, or reasonableness, instead, then I'm with you 100% - there's no comparison!

How many York fans can genuinely claim that they were really looking forward to the drive down to Kent in time for a 1215 kickoff? I know it's the 1st game of the season but even so.

Add to the fact it's live on telly several pubs in York will have it on live just as some will be advertising it "live" on telly In Maidstone . After the drama queen got his knickers in a twist and started all this off let's see how many they sell.

I can see little to no chance of them selling out their allocation. Another lot bringing maybe 200.

I see they kicked off their pre season against premier league Middlesbrough . Lost 0-6. Let's hope we turn it around against Sevenoaks

They had better send the other 14 tickets from their allocation back then.

Is he a drama queen or a big girls blouse . I think they will sell out and see all the empty space at the end of the terrace and then drama queen will call for dignity and respect because we should of given them 470 .

SteveH is spot on. Making a comparison between the York situation and Ebbsfleet doesn't work because in the case of Ebbsfleet, they were deliberately under-allocating tickets on a huge terrace whereas we simply have a small-capacity ground at the moment and are being realistic about what can be done. The way our ground is set up at present for segregation, it wouldn't be easy to provide a bigger allocation for the away enclosure. This is about practicalities, not denying the opposition an allocation that would allow them to make more noise than us.

Capacity at Ebbsfleet was restricted by safety exits / barriers etc. Just as ours was when we opened. Ebbsfleet gave us many more tickets tan we were "entitled" to. Many big clubs will be making the same complaints to us as we did to Ebbsfleet. Might as well get used to it.
