THREE straight reds in that game! But Hereford got two - and won! And Boring Wood got thrashed by Torquay. So it wasn't such a bad evening after all. All three were two yellows = a sending off, not straight reds. "A major lack of discipline then saw captain Michael McGrath shown two quick yellow cards after he was involved in an ugly confrontation with referee Adrian Quelch." "Michael McGrath is the captain of the team and there can be absolutely no justification for the way he talked himself into a red card while the Poppies were only 1-0 down. His confrontation with referee Adrian Quelch was ugly, to say the least, although it did lack the physicality that was reported in some quarters. The fact is, McGrath received a deserved booking for dissent but then didn’t let it go and, when the red card was brandished, it was hard for anyone to argue." [Northants Telegraph]

My original post was based on an eyewitness account from a member of the Leamington backroom staff so blame him if he exaggerated plus I didnt realise that Kettering had switched the game to Leamington either. Maybe I should take up journalism reporting all the incorrect facts😁

[Northants Telegraph] They were shown as straight reds on the site I was looking at. Even I am only as good as my source... The reds were doubly unfortunate in a way, as they've taken the headlines away from the ref's awful dealing with the light failure delay.

Maybe I should take up journalism reporting all the incorrect facts😁 There's a video clip of the incident somewhere online. The referee reached out and placed a hand on the player's chest, the player brushed his arm away, at which point a yellow card was shown. You can hear the commentator saying "That's got to be a red card", which was a bit ridiculous. Some people seem to think all sorts of trivial incidents "must" result in a red card these days.

Stockport County have sacked Jim Gannon, apparently 4th place and 11pts behind the leaders with 2 games in hand isnt good enough.

Dover Vs Maidenhead postponed today. Someone on the Dover forum asking for relegation to the Ryman league.

I see Dover are representing the plight of non league football on Football Focus today. FFS can't the BBC do anything right, or at least do some decent research before deciding to go to default?

Hi everone, I haven't been on here for a while (so best wishes to all in getting through this pandemic) but I felt so angry after watching Mr Parmenter's free ride of an interview that I have complained to the BBC and urge others to do so. No mention was made of the unfair distribution (backed by him) of the initial grants. Imo this may have influenced the government in not continuing the grants and the question should have been put to him.

I noticed that Luque was only on the bench for the 3rd consecutive Weymouth game. Maybe the step up has proved too much for him as he started ok but now seems to be out of favour. Hopefully he gets disillusioned and comes back to us for next season.

May be the overall cost, but surely some of that is picked up via sponsorship at least? Otherwise , assuming a home game every other week, he would need £50k per home game and I doubt he gets more than £30k at tops.

Anyone know what's happening to Dover re sanctions etc for not playing, or will justice have to wait to the end of the season?

The obvious step would be to demote them to Nat S to give 3 22-team divisions for 2021/2. So that won't happen... Then do you expunge their record for this season or keep their 15 results and give say 3-0 wins to the opposition for the 29 games they don't play?
Quite probable the NL will expel them altogether, leaving Nat S and Isthmian Prem with an odd number of teams for next season.
Meanwhile with another £300,000 being allocated to funding for the Arts - could we argue that our defence is a modern art installation and get a few quid?

I would say that the obvious method to deal with Dover due to the lack of promotion & relegation places would be to play the long game by docking them a silly amount of points ensuring relegation is a certainty. Why should the Isthmian League except them unless they need a replacement as some one has to withdraw
