Barnet were gambling £100,000 a month on promotion. Can't see many doing that in the near future.

Some of our 3G "income" is money saved on training pitches and various MUFC teams playing on it. And loss of bar income. So yes, there must be an impact. I wonder if our first team squad are even training? They could easily lose fitness.

As I said in another thread a whitley Bay official told me that any more than 4 weeks and half the Northern Legue could be no more including them.

The only way out is to release all the players immediately as I doubt many are on contract in that league.

Dear oh dear. But, fear not, gentle readers, this is just KM puff - Dover and that nice Mr Parmenter will be back the same as ever once this is all over. He admitted in a recent KM article (which I can't now find!) that he funds the club, and without his money it couldn't carry on.

I guess much depends on how the NL clubs fair over the lockdown. If Dover have run out of money, how are the rest doing? The NL had become the buffer zone between the full time FL2 and the, mostly, part time NLN/S. In the short term, will the NL go more part time, out of necessity? Perhaps the common sense thing to do would be for the TV and franchise money to be cascaded downwards, so there was funding to help clubs that are struggling, all the way down the pyramid. That would mean premier League players having to take a wage cut of course, but many could afford to drop 10k a week and not miss it. If it was done pro rata down the leagues, smaller clubs would survive and while the top players could still aspire to be filthy rich, they wouldn't get filthy, dirty, obscenely rich like now. Trouble with that scenario is when did common sense apply where wealth is concerned?
