Not old enough to get 'concessions' at all grounds. Ha! A mere sprog then. I've lived in Maidstone since 1979 and I don't remember it as anything else than a pub. Quite a nice one then - before the bloody yoof took over... Is that the best you can do?
Only living in Maidstone since 1979 makes you one of the 'newbies' then?

It still feels that way at times! I still think of myself as a mixture of Surrey and East London (where I was born and grew up) - it comes as a shock to realise I've lived here nearly 40 years. Maybe I'll get used to it one day...

I was in the Thirsty Pig yesterday and I asked the question and no-one in there knew of a another name other than the Minstrel so perhaps there isn't a third name. I also called in the Pilot, it's good to see it back in business and I had to lovely pints of Harvey's Old ale. Its definitely worth a visit for anyone who has never been before and worth a re-visit if you have.

If only they'd bring back the dodgy pizzas and the 20p pool table! And the barmaid...
