The survival of my marriage (and any chance I have of going to a possible 3rd round away game) meant I had to opt out of one of our current avalanche of home games.
I chose this one.
After 38 minutes, we are 4 up...

Pretty impressive - our under 21s/reserves thrashing the 7th place Isthmian South team (who have won their last three games)

I chose this over the KSC game.
I can't bloody remember why now!

417 attendance, too - almost twice the KSC game!

Still, you at least know how to annoy the office Chelsea fan tomorrow:
"Six-nil, eh?"
"No, mate, it was five."
"Five at halftime, but Richard Davies got a sixth."

The Stones fringe and reserve players really demonstrated the strength in depth tonight. The first half was scintilating stuff with the ball being moved at pace. Herne Bay couldn't live with it. The second half was not as good as the first and Herne Bay had more of the ball although they couldn't really do much with it. They did seem to have a decent penalty shout turned down but it was difficult to see from t'other end.

We were pretty good, but they were atrocious. A couple of their players seemed to fall over when the ball came near them. Everyone fell asleep in the second half. Forgot to look for my free pie at the final whistle.

To be fair, it looks as though Herne Bay fielded a weakened team as well. At least, there was no Stuart King. In fact, there hasn't been one since 1688 (pre-emptive strike).
