Early on in the commentary Derek Rae does apologise for the bad language their microphones were picking up - probably that pesky Town End again - so I suspect the producer decided to turn down the crowd mic just in case. There was a lot of very poor language being shouted tonight. Now I've done a bit of keeper baiting in the past, but some of the stuff being shouted out at the very young keeper by a section of the Town End tonight was disgraceful Now I know it's only a small section but we need to clean up our act

After 20 minutes or so of the same repetitive, tedious sweary, abusive shout I wanted a goal from Herne Bay in the hope that the young keeper might turn and bait the banter-masters. I can remember someone doing a exactly the same baiting to Ray Clemence at Arsenal v Liverpool in 1980. It was funny because he only shouted 3 or four times through the entire half and Ray Clemence waved at him once. I thought the young keeper handled it well at first and laughed along and then just ignored it because it ceased to eb funny or interesting.

And where was the comentary taking place? Near the main stand? Hmmm I'm almost certain the apology was for a shout by one of the coaches, I can't remember exactly but it was something along the lines of 'f**king GET IT OUT'.
