So with Maidstone losing 2-0 to Sudbury today and Stevenage beating Cheltenham 5-1 what are people's thoughts and predictions for Thursday night.
My own thoughts are the match is 5 days away so todays results won't have a massive effect.

No, today's result means nothing in the grand scheme of things, we had a big off day... I think we can give them a good go, it'll be close, maybe even extra time, it depends a lot on the fans too, I mean if its like a usual home match 70mins in all our lads are going to have cramp and feel crap.

I'd assume Stevenage played a full strength team, or as close to as they could? We rested players and had possibly our two best and most consistent players this season suspended, plus the ref was incredibly bad. The result could hurt morale but I don't think it reflects on the quality of the team we'll be playing on Thursday night.
You never know really, based solely on the first game I'd say we've got a chance but it could go either way completely. I'd like to think home advantage, hardly any away support and the excitement of being on TV will be enough, especially since our best players will be nice and fresh for the game.
My only hope is we don't fall apart and lose by 3 or 4 goals because I think we're better than that. If we lose then fair enough, we'll be losing to a much better team at the end of the day but I think we've got a chance of winning and I just hope we give it a good crack like we did in the first game.

The breakthrough that caused today's performance was we played two up. The general feeling afterwards was if we play that way every match we'll make the play-offs and beyond comfortably.
Just hope GW realises this and plays the same formation and side on thursday.

Ultimately we are now 4 games behind in the league and today's result although disappointing maybe a blessing in disguise.
I'm hoping on Thursday we give a good account of ourselves and some Stevenage fans are describing it as our cup final but in reality we have set out and achieved what we aimed to do before the season started. We've reached the 1st round, we've generated good cash to pay for the ground improvements and we've got the pitch on TV.
This is actually our 6th game in the FA Cup and so it reaches a point where it could have a massive impact on the league and most people would agree the league is our priority. That said I'd love to get through and I'm sure we will create chances to win it but Stevenage will be a little bit wiser and better prepared and dare I say it, I think they will love the pitch.

Why wouldn't they, all the opposition managers have so far...

Will there be an atmosphere on Thursday? I'm not expecting what happened a week ago but something close wouldn't go a miss.

The thing that's most worrying me about Thursday isn't us getting turned over by Stevenage,it's letting TV pundits gobs run loose for two and a half hours about our pitch.Without doubt 3G is going to be top of the agenda and I just hope to God BT Sports team are unbiased and fair.If 30 seconds of ill informed comments on BBC were bad enough last week, just think what Thursday could bring.
