Not too bothered about today's result, at least it saves is another tuesday night away from the league. In my opinion Sudbury deserved their victory and good luck to them in the next round. Though on a different note, the ref was an absolute joke, lost control of the game after he sent both Jay May and Jay Saunders off.

Not impressed with anything in today's game.
The referee was a joke and we threw away what should have been a fairly easy win. And now we're out of the only competition, apart from the league, that matters.
And our 'security' people need to take a good, long look at themselves.
Totally pissed off.

To be fair I am disappointed to be out of the trophy. It was a cup we could go far in.. But the games are piling up and we certainly didn't want a replay. Would rather of lost that cup game than a league game. On todays game, I thought it was a chance for a couple of players to make a statement and force their way into the team. Unfortunatley I didn't think many did that. Shame.

I'm going to pin this one on the ref but I don't think we helped ourselves by continuing to try long balls when we only had Alex Akrofi up top. Never really got a chance to get going since the ref just stopped play every 30 seconds.

Don't normally boo refs for every decision against us, but he was poor. My abiding memory was him blowing his whistle over and over long after the incident was over. But we didn't lose because of the ref, we lost because we (understandably) did not field our strongest team. So Sudbury were deserving winners. www.amazon.co.uk/Adastra-952-019-Megaphone-With-Siren/dp/B000W7FY2KMaybe we needed one of these!

I thought we played well enough, perhaps the enforced personnel changes affected our coherence a little, but I feel we would have done just about enough to win IF it wasn't for a completely out of depth See You Next Tuesday in the middle backed up by two Richard Head's on the line.
Having said I thought we would have been the better team the incompetent T W A T with the Cards actually meant that we never found that out. It can be argued that LW pulled off a couple of amazing saves which meant that we were denied a cracking game of football which Sudbury could well have won by a stupid little boy who obviously had a whistle for Christmas but never read the instructions that went with it.

No argument from me on todays result. Sudbury wanted it more and they got their reward. Good luck to them in the next round. I never comment on referees and I'm not going to break the habit of a lifetime for that prat

Ref wasn't too good today, class A tit to be fair , Ref didn't actually witness either incident regarding Jay or May as far as I can make out. Obviously we should all be disappointed to be out, everyone wants to win stuff, and at the end of the day it's a competition we could have had a right crack at, but maybe next year we can have a real go for it?

What did the security people do? One of the Sudbury fans (who seemed a decent lot) had a megaphone and our security didn't like it. They took him and it away, but minutes later he came back - still with the megaphone (and was applauded by our fans as he walked past!). I have no idea why they took him away or why they let him back, but the next thing I heard was one of our fans using the megaphone! It has to be said, though, that it was the worst megaphone I've ever heard - he took it down the other end after half time and you could barely hear it. They also had a drum, and I would have been quite happy if the security people hadn't taken that away! As for our 'security' in general, their basic problem seems to be that they never have anything to do, so I guess they do their best to find something, or someone, to do.

Very flat on and off the pitch most of the talk was about tickets which lead to a tame atmosphere which didn't help the team who never really got going with so many changes . But Sudbury were so fired up putting so much pressure on a young weak ref who seem intimidated by them we never really recovered our shape after loseing Jay my motm Tom mills lively from the bench .

But when will May be suspended and how long? On Thursday? Suspensions start from 14 days after the game at our level (immediately for Conf and above). A straight red is three games, so he'll miss the VCD and Grays games - and Hampton & Richmond away or Wrexham, if we beat Stevenage. A red from a second yellow is (I think) only a one game ban, but I think May got a straight red.

Should have brought all three subs ion at half-time. It was obvious by then that we needed a much stronger team on the pitch to make up for being a man down. When the games changes, you change the team - basic stuff.
