An interesting stance, smoky. might lead to dropped attendances for the lesser games. I might also point out that the complaints about allocation haven't revolved around the fan club members. Why would being a member lead to a drop in attendance for lesser games

I def feel my loyalty has been overlooked and smoky your right I should have become a fan member, nws point out and I feel the same im concerned the club r overlooking true fans (which I was one of a handful when we were shit in the invocation league let alone ashford etc)I think there all riding this bubble and as history shows u find your level and attendances drop then who will the club turn to proberly that same loyal bunch still there I welcome all new fans and aren't having a dig at them I realise I should have bought a overpriced season ticket (for me as earlier explain job commitments and I go to a lot of away games)or a fan club member just sour grapes (my just showed me a picture of 6 tickets on facebook from a lad who I know and when I spoke to him recently he's only been once but got 6 today coa he finished work earlier than me,

I fully support the idea of any loyalty scheme that rewardes fans first who simply attends the most games the fan club members may have payed the £15 but this doesn't necessary make them more worthy then non members does it? There are several ways to record how often you attend games one is stamping a book another is improved entry tickets that you keep. Its easier for big clubs who are able to keep a data bases, but with mainly cash customers the club can't keep these sort of records. Queuing today for my ticket I overheard a fella asking is there some where I can get a drink in the ground and another asking how many goals has Paul Booths scored this season? Yet I hear about countless regulars not getting one mainly because of not being able to make it down to the ground at the allotted time I wondering if it's possible for regular loyal fans to be able to reserve theres over the phone because it's got to be more about simply selling all the tickets hasn't it ?

It works out cheaper than gate entry over the course of a season.

My point is my job dictates when I can go so buying a season ticket would b a waste I go when I can and today was my 15th game this season yet a rich man who pops along in good weather but owns a season ticket gets to go just wrong somehow You don't need to be a rich man to be a fan member. I'm sure if you were a fan member and couldn't get to the ground if you phoned the club with yr membership number they would put one a side So you could go to umpteen games and spend gawd knows how much following the team and that counts for nothing? if fiteen quid is nothing then please send it to me and I will join the fan club

Thus, a season ticket becomes overpriced compared to paying on the gate

These people are able to get a ticket for the game by virtue of the fact that they could arrive at the right time. Steve Cragg could not get a ticket and should have joined something for £15 to get a ticket even though he has been many times this season.

Why was there less then 2,000 in the ground today if all season ticket holders and club members were there plus all wanting to buy tickets. Which regular supporters didn't turn up today.

While part of me is of the opinion that if you care enough that you don't want to miss the big games then just pay £15 and practically guarantee yourself a ticket the other part has a lot of sympathy. I heard a bloke say he's never been before but he came today to get a ticket and that's when I started to think it's a bit of a crap situation for those who go all the time.

But those are the parameters set out by the club so if you want tickets then those are rules. The £15 goes to the club to fund improvements so why would any loyal fan oppose to that! Oh I remember so they can spend there time moaning about it

The rules for all ticket games are clearly stated. Join the fan club and be there at the correct time to get your tickets. Loyalty doesn't come into it. It's about following a set of rules. If you can t do that then the club can t be held responsible.

Who deserves to go to these games - the fans who had the time and money to be there all through the away years, the fans who were lucky enough to be able go to Stevenage, the fans who just happen to have been following the Stones since the old days, the fans able to go to most home games, the fans who turn up (with the other few hundred) at the mid-week KSC games, the fans that regularly go away, the fans who have followed the Stones for years, but can't get to most games?
You simply can't base a ticketing system on any of those criteria (or any other) - some deserving fans will always lose out.
We have a problem at the Gallagher - too many fans want to go to the big games and there simply isn't enough room for them. Until such time as the capacity is increased enough to cope with this, the club has to use the simplest and fairest system they can to allocate tickets. So, if you want to be sure of a ticket in future and aren't a VP or season ticket holder, simply join the supporters club. It's that easy. And most of your £15 goes towards increasing capacity (so that one day you won't have to join the supporters club!), so look upon it is a donation to your club.
