Excellent review but I dare say you didn't really have the bottle to put anything other favourable for fear of getting your teeth kicked in.

Good review - nice balance between respect for the man and criticism of the odd memory lapse.

I think the book is called 'Believe It Or Not', not 'Bill's Believe It Or Not'. Although it's a small error it's something an editor should have picked up on.

Bill has been a colossus for Maidstone, it's difficult to imagine that anyone could have done more for us over such a long period of time. I hope he makes a few quid from his book because he deserves it.

Just a quick little hijack:
Bill’s book will be launched on Friday (7 November) at 19:30 in the Spitfire Lounge. Bill will be talking about his life in football and taking questions. Shepherd Neame are sponsoring the launch event and are offering a pint of Stones Lager or Whitstable Bay for every copy purchased that evening.
As the great man himself said: “Friday’s book launch is free to attend…but £12.99 to leave”
