If we have aspiration to win the League, then this is the game when we need to be at our best. We have had too many cup games lately and it has diverted our attention to what should be to win this League ... We have been given a massive boost by Margate dropping so many points, we must take advantage of this situation in a positive way and beat our "friendly foes" at Champion Hill !! COYS !!

I don't really go along with the idea of too many cup games. The Kent and League cups are a great opportunity for fringe players to get a few games and I'm sure we have a good enough squad to cope with the fa cup and trophy. Success breeds success, and there's decent rewards to be had from a good cup run, not only financial but also in terms of exposure and prestige.

Whatever happens at Stevenage, Jay and the team will be up for Dulwich They will be tough but we have a better team this year and we are playing well, we're at home and we will win (probably) Not even the most optimistic fan cant believe that we will have too many more games in the FA Cup It would be nice to have a run in the Trophy, the money and exposure will do the club well from these two big competitions As Dave has said important to stay in the Ryman and KSC as this enables us to keep the fringe and academy players fit and happy! Don't forget we are in waterlogged pitch season and whilst we could lose a few away games we are unlikely to lose any home games that's got to be worth three games! In summary, chill out dont panic and enjoy what has to be our best times since reforming

I agree with those who think it IS a good time to play Dulwich, the reason being that if the league didn't have the rule about playing postponed fixtures within 45 days (or whatever it is), we'd just end up with a ridiculous fixture pile towards the end of the season. We have to squeeze some league games in somewhere! We play in four cup competitions, it's obvious that if we do that successfully we will end up playing twice a week quite a lot.
Now, many people have talked recently about how 'Ryman fitness' isn't the same as 'Conference fitness' or Football League fitness. Obviously our part-time players cannot possibly hope to reach the fitness levels of FL sides but I wonder if as a club, we set the bar at 'Ryman fitness' (whatever that is!) when we should look at raising that in order to make sure we can compete with sides above our level in cups, and also to give us the edge in the league and perhaps cope better with a jammed fixture schedule. Towards the end of the Welling game, it was obvious for all to see that the team were knackered and not as fit as our opponents, although we had outplayed them for large spells of the match.
Maybe it isn't possible with our current set up, squad and wage bill to expect the players to be even fitter - what does everyone else think?
Can't go on Sunday and so I am looking forward to popping along to the Dulwich game. Whatever happens at the weekend we need to make sure we're there Wednesday night to give the boys a lift in a tough match.

I'm still digesting the news that Attwood was apparently offered £800 a week to play for Margate - that's nearly £42k a year!
You could easily be a full-time player on that sort of money, so, if this is typical of the wages in the 'bigger' clubs, why can't our fitness levels be as good as the pro teams? It's not as if Attwood hasn't got the time to train if he's on that sort of money...

I don't know how he manages on a paltry 800 per week, it must be a struggle, should we organise a whip round

Info does get out sometimes but £1,500 a week at this level just sounds ridiculous. You don't need to be paying anywhere near that to get out of this league.
