Yeah, mostly by train - laid on by the club.
Talking of non-league innocence - on the train to Watford they were selling rosettes (see my avatar), complete with a 'hat pin' about 6" long.
Needless to say, the first thing the Watford stewards did was confiscate all our 'hat pins'! Who the hell thought selling a six inch long pin to football fans was a good idea??

Small correction weren't the rosettes in the Sky blue that we wore that day? Remember the flags? I still have mine somewhere...

Mine was (is) yellow - it's been pinned on the pin board in the kitchen ever since. Although now I come to think of it, didn't the rosettes that day have a stone age man and a hornet on them? If so, where the hell did I get this one from?! |
