Well that is a relief that we are sending a coach to Stevenage in the 1st Round proper, as the fans who went to Biggleswade by coach in the Qualifying rounds would be mighty peeved off. ;-)

Im looking at Thameslink options via Bromley South, not sure about a Sunday ,but threes a regular service to Bedford or Luton, trying to suss where to change out.Times just over 2 hours 10 so quicker than going via Kings Cross. If were going to sell those tickets we will need coach option details ASAP.Be good if IMUSC can sort this asap, then fans can book when the get match tickets. Make it easy for fans one journey to get the tickets one Q for both travel and match ticket if they want. I hope this can be decided before tickets go on sale tomorrow, and then advertised at the sale times, forms for membership ,and away we go, we will probably need 6 coaches Come on get it sorted fan club independent or club.! You didn't want much 5 hours after the game was moved to Sunday. .

There does seem to be some confusion on the railways.....I'm looking if I can get a ticket to travel from Pompey to Stevenage.....if you check the Future Enginnering page on Network Rail for 09/11/2014 and select East Coast there is no work....however select Great Northern (which also serves Stevenage) you get this......
Quote..... Engineering work is taking place Alexandra Palace and Stevenage / Peterborough via Welwyn Garden City closing some lines. Engineering work is taking place between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage and between Hitchin and Peterborough, with various line closures. The 00:53 London Kings Cross to Peterborough service will terminate at Letchworth Garden City. A replacement bus will run between Letchworth Garden City and Peterborough, calling at all stations. Trains will be subject to extended journey times between London Kings Cross and Cambridge. Trains will run non-stop between Finsbury Park and Stevenage, with buses serving intermediate stations. A change of train at Stevenage may be required on some journeys. Untin 08:30, buses will replace trains between Royston and Cambridge. Trains to and from Peterborough will run non-stop between Finsbury Park and Stevenage, with buses serving intermediate stations. In the evening, some trains travelling from London Kings Cross to Peterborough will start from Stevenage. Trains to and from Hertford will be reduced to an hourly frequency. A change of trains will be required at Hertford North. Some journeys from Hertford North to Stevenage will be by replacement bus. On Welwyn Garden City services, buses will replace trains between Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City (and onto Stevenage). Planning your Journey For full details of these changes and the impact on your journey, please use the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner
#####End Quote....
So stopping services look to be affected and but Great Northern to Stevenage seems fine......
But I'm sure things will change......
One other thing - do Google "ticket splits"....looks like if I do a ticket to petersfield and then Petersfield to Stevenage save 6 quid (enough for a pint or two!)

Not sure whether that's true or just an insubstantiated rumour. Gonna get down there as soon as they're on sale just in case.

Judging by the sheets I'd say we sold nearly 700 by last night, no idea how quickly the general sale will go though.

When I got my ticket last night, one coach was already fully booked up, and I was put on the waiting list for a 2nd coach. If we've sold 700 already, I expect that the 2nd coach should be filled too.

NO mention of any waiting list and having travelled by coach a few times and member of both fan clubs have given up hope of a coach place and joined 17 others on a mini bus for 15 quid. Train will be painful me thinks.

I was told I was on a waiting list. If another coach can't be booked I've been offered a lift so can avoid the trains.

Why does everybody want to avoid the trains so I know for future groundhopping?

Probably £££ and I'm assuming as it's a Sunday there will be limited services. It's really easy to get to via St Pancras / Kings Cross.

It'd be easier to go from M West, then switch at Strood for the HS1 to St Pancras. Though might cost a bit more.
