Can't they just build a 50,000 seater super stand over the river Medway?

Ok I think someone may need to shout it as people appear to be eejits. THERE IS A f**king GREAT WATER MAIN ALONG THAT SIDE OF THE GROUND. IT HAS BEEN SAID ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THAT THAT SIDE WILL BE THE LAST TO EVER BE DEVELOPED. IF THE OWNERS THOUGHT THAT TEMPORARY STRUCTERS WOULD WORM THEY WOULD HAVE DONE IT. Is this watermain above ground or below it ? Even if its above, I am sure you could install terracing which is removable if and when the need arises to work on the main. I am no engineer but I dont see why with a little dialog with the water company a solution that is cost effective could not be found.

Is this a real post or are you having a joke. Have you ever seen a bloody great water main above ground when walking along that side of the ground?
I get a good view from the main stand but haven't seen one from there.

Three years ago we didn't have a ground and a support base of around 300. Now all of a sudden people seem to want Wembley !!! I am just thinking out loud. All I am saying is at some point the ground needs to expanded so I am asking some basic questions. Sorry if that offends you.

As I've said before - why not just a couple of steps along that side? Dirt cheap to put in and it solves the problem of people not being able to see when we get a big crowd.

Crazy!
Ridiculous to build that now, and then have to start from scratch when we get to League 2 and all the glory hunters arrive.
We should future proof the stadium NOW!

Seems a pretty sensible question to ask - the view from that side of the ground unless you have a spot along the fence is terrible - so a solution should be found of one sort or another ... However quite why the need for the aggressive response to the question from one member of this forum I've no idea

Is that the metal pipework (about a foot in diameter) that briefly emerges on the footpath towards the Malta Inn?

More evidence of their complete and utter pathetic hypocrisy.

Just pointing out that compared to what we had four years ago we're in a very good position. The question about the river side has been answered over and over again but people still keep going on about it. Maybe they could also come up with a plan for funding it instead of constantly criticizing the club about it.

It would be very easy to fabricate two or three steps out of steel in sections of a few metres that could be bolted together, then disassembled and moved out of the way with pallet trucks if necessary. However, the club may have considered the cost to not be justified for the two or three matches a year it becomes a necessity. During the FA Cup game against Welling there were unused standing spaces at the sides of the Springfield end.

Or maybe it's not that easy to come up with something that satisfies all the safety requirements and that people would actually be allowed to stand on. There seems to be an assumption by some people that the club hasn't looked into this. I'm sure that if there was an affordable solutions something would have been done.
