Sight lines are currently only a problem for the big games. For our average 1500/1800 crowds there's plenty of room around the pitch barriers. We will however (I think I'm right) have to increase the capacity to 3000 within a year of being promoted to the conference. Plenty of room on the pitch barrier with crowds up to 1800 is that a fact from up in the stand Dave?

there is not plenty of room around the rails with crowds above 1500 unless you arrive early to the viewing point,,,the riverside ,with games over 1900 has up to 3 deep and unless you are well over 6 feet it is restricted. and second half changes slighty, much of the crowd move up the other end,(town)

I have been to 2 games and I came down to the terrace as I'm disabled at the end of last Saturday and there was no sight lines. I can see the good points, a lot of them but when will we face the downsides? How many turn up if we are a relegation team?

Everybody should get a good view. The amount of stewards gives a bad impression of the club eg you can't control the fans. I will be interested in raising money for you when the Tom West football fund starts. I'm just pointing out what doesn't want to be talked about. Now you're just clutching at straws. Everybody should get a good view. The current set up envisaged 800 spectators. Sight lines are not good enough, so (as already pointed out) the club have plans to finance and build two new stands. Too many stewards? It was one of the most high profiles matches since returning to Maidstone. If some idiot had thrown a beer over you it would have been complaints of poor stewarding. Don't want to talk about problems? Please pay attention. This forum proves the opposite, ad infinitum over and over again. Sometimes people never bloody shut up! I hope you enjoyed your first game at the Gallagher and will return often. But I get the impression you just want to argue, so I'm out.Leave it to the professionals, aylesford

Downsides? We had to wait 22 years to get our club back and now we have an excellent stadium, we got promoted in our first season, and this season we have the best Stones team I've ever seen and are in the FAC 1st round proper for the first time in many people's lifetime. What downsides? ?

It would be great if that water main could be moved and a terrace, just a few steps, put along the west side. Remember everyone was envisaging crowds of 800. We weren't expecting all these bloody Charlton fans to turn up... but by the end of the decade at least two sides if not 3 or 4 will have expanded. I was impressed by the ongoing litter-picking by stewards at the Littlehampton game - comes across as very professional and tidy rather than being ankle deep in Tim and Nigel's empty beer glasses. Stewards are not just there to control bad behaviour. Yes it's a reaction to incidents like the Wealdstone game but it makes the ground feel safer. No way does it give a bad impression. No need for any police (ever?, or have they come to a couple of games?) Bloody litter picking kids, sneaked in without me even seeing the little buggers and made off with my Coke bottle - which had a good couple of swigs left! No way I put ANYTHING down on the terrace now!

Yes, but you can't come back to your Coke a week later, JDL. Of course they are going to clear it away

Upsides: Lots of money - - NEVER ENOUGH BUT I THINK WE ARE DOING OK Good owners - DEFINITELY Good pool of players. - AGAIN YES AND SOME GOOD UP AND COMING PLAYERS Decent stadium. - GOES WITHOUT SAYING Lots of publicity. - COULD DO WITH MORE 3G - A MASSIVE PLUS IN MY BOOK DUE TO THE INCOME RECEIVED FROM YEAR ROUND USEAGE
Downsides: Will the money run out? - UNLIKELY DUE TO CURRENT OWNERS BEING SENSIBLE Not enough space to accommodate new fans and glory hunters! - THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ALTHOUGH I OBJECT TO THE TERM 'GLORY HUNTER'. ANYONE PAYING AT THE TURN STYLE IS A FAN - PERIOD. THE STADIUM WILL BE EXPANDED AT SOME POINT BUT WE ARE IN NO HURRY. Restrictions because of membership. - NO NOT REALLY. Restricted parking. - NOT AN ISSUE AS PLENTY OF LOCAL PARKING NEARBY Where will you find new investment ? - IT WILL FIND US IF WE CONTINUE OUR RISE UP THE LEAGUES
