Since returning to Margate:
Starts: 10 (subbed 3)
Sub: 8 (unused 1)
Goals: 3
Disappointed?
Or what he would have expected, given the players they've got, and at least he's playing most games - and earning more than we paid him?
Would you have him back? Would he get a regular place?

No chance much better as we are now he wanted to run for the money and good luck to him but I'd rather have Jay May hope his little Margate dream turns even more sour ;-)

Very disappointing return from a very good player. Can't help but think it's down to chopping and changing at Margate and them having an abundance of striking options. I'd have him back as I think he offers different qualities to our other strikers and we're still a little thin in that department. Would he start regularly is the question. I'm not sure given the options Jay May provides us with who has been excellent this season. All that being said, can't see him coming back to us and feel he'll look back and realise he made a mistake making the move.

I don't think he's that good at all. More like Kent league material.

I think his movement's been affected by the £20 notes stuffed down his boxers!

HeadStone, I'm sure he was good and it is just a classic case of somebody not enjoying there football. It's not working out for him. I wouldn't want him at ramsgate, on too much many anyway.

I'd take him back. I the trouble with Margate is they saw his goal scoring record for us. What they didn't see was the team ethos and the level of support Zac got from Frannie / our midfield to enable him to get to the level that he did.
They saw a striker who got XX goals and assumed if they get him he'll do the same again. Unfortunately for that lot they seem to have assembled a collection of individuals rather than a team.

Zac was great last season, I definitely would take him back although I'm not sure what we'd do with him at the moment.

At maidstone he was part of a team that enjoyed playing. He went to margate to save some money up and good luck to him. If they want to throw money about he would be very, very foolish indeed not to go.
I would take him back. As we have seen he wouldn't make the first team by rights but would be not her excellent choice of striker if and when injuries happen.

Saw this on Enfields forum just now, a neutral's view of Margate, and Zac in particular, following their 3-1 defeat last night...
"Last night was an enjoyable match for neutral eyes. Penalties (scored and saved) a card-happy ref (who didn't actually have a bad match) and some decent goals made for an entertaining evening. This is actually the second time I've seen Margate in the last 10 days. I saw them lose away to Hendon 3-2 in what was another good match. One thing that caught my eye against Hendon was the Margate sub, Zac Attwood. He did nothing that day. He came on last night after 73 minutes and I decided to keep a close watch on him. In 17 minutes of normal time + 5 minutes of stoppage time, he touched the ball once...and that was a misplaced pass that went straight to an Enfield defender. Having recently seen, Maidstone, Margate and Hendon - Margate have been the least impressive of the top 3 sides, but that takes nothing away from a well deserved 3-1 win as on another night you could have scored half a dozen. What a turnaround since my last match at QEII - that was the night you scraped over the line against VCD thanks to some questionable officiating, poor finishing and a huge slice of luck."

He was so good for us last season (24 goals? - if so, how come we drew so often?!). I'd have him back, it would be good to have someone on the bench we could use for a 'plan b'. We're going so well at the moment that it's hard to see us ever needing to play a different way or use different players regularly, but we're not going to get through a whole season like that. Once the weather starts acting up, injuries start building and suspensions cut in, things aren't going to be so easy. And by the new year everyone will have played against us and will know how we play and how to (try to) stop us. One of the good things about this season is the depth of our squad and the fact that we bring on talented, capable subs without it affecting the way we play of our strength on the pitch. But will that be true all season? I'd rather have Attwood warming our bench than Margate's.

Been told by one of our players that is still in touch with him that he regrets move. Proving grass is not always greener and dont think he would get in our team at moment either.
