Had the privilege of watching the 1st half in the library end and the 2nd half in the Town end, which was absolutely fantastic, the noise and the singing was immense during the 2nd half of the game, I did shed a tear at the end of the game when the town end sang que sera sera, a favourite song of my younger sister who passed away recently, I love you all and thank you for igniting my love of football again after months of grief......COYS Toon it was good to see you again and hope that we will be seeing you again soon.So sorry for your loss. Also thanks for the kiss at the end of a cracking game of football

That was a cracking game of football with the correct result. We never really looked in danger every player from 1 to 11 were totally committed today and got what they deserved a place in the next round. The crowd played their part today well done everyone and well done to the Welling fans who accepted they had been beaten by the better side

What a day! First 'real' football game at the Gallagher for months. It's got almost routine recently - turn up, play well, win game - I was starting to get blasé.
But today I had no idea how the day would turn out, even after the early goal. We played well, but it was obvious Welling were from a higher league, especially in the second half, when their better fitness began to tell. It was a classic cup game - the 'better' side overwhelmed by the 110% performance from the 'underdogs' and a sheer determination to win. I got pretty choked up as the players applauded us as they walked off. Not felt like that at a football game for a long time...

So many things wet so right on Saturday. Pretty much our entire team looked very comfortable against higher league opposition, many looked more than just comfortable too with Flisher and Mills looking every bit as good as they do against Ryman teams. Jack Parkinson grabbed this one by the horns, some great tackling, great passing, a great header and he definitely got into the heads of the Welling players without letting himself get distracted by the psychology of the game. I'm a big fan of Alex Brown and I liked the confidence Jay showed in his ability to bring him on when we were only a goal away from it all going tits up.
Just a great day really and we've still got the 1st Round to look forward to!

They had to say it was 2226 as it was over capacity as it was more like 2400 as they were 2332 tickets on sale.

I was under the impression that in the qualifying rounds where non league teams were playing each other that the FA did not take a cut.
