I note that the keeper who was sent off was number 13 - no 1 (presumably their original first choice keeper) was a sub. So I'm not sure this is as important as it sounds.
But, on the good side, I'm very pleased to see the Conference uses squad numbers. Can't wait for that - no more trying to remember what Miles and Rogers look like or whether it's May or Greenhalgh playing at number 9.
Although I suspect I'm STILL going to get Brown and Mills mixed up when they're at the other end of the pitch!

Actually, it's not too bad at the moment, most of the time I can tell them apart quite easily. But a little while ago Mills had a weird facial hair thing going on and looked even more like Brown! What I really want is a team made up of players like Flisher, Bodkin and Parkinson who are instantly recognisable. Although I never had this problem at London Road, but then the teams always seemed to stay more constant in those days (except under Barry Fry!). I guess, like so much else, it's just down to getting old... |

Yes he's been on 4 for a couple of weeks now, I've been worried he might miss the Welling game! So can an annorack out there tell me the best time for him to get the 5th? If he gets booked late on Saturday does he miss the KSC on Tuesday or FAT Saturday? Either would be better than a league game or potential FA Cup 1st round proper! Not that I'm suggesting he does a David Beckham of course!  |
