The stands behind the goal do hold more but due to good ole health and safety the capacity of these were lost. lots of people have had a moan about not enough seats so it has to be done. I would like to see it all terrace but as a club its a must to get extra income via corporate boxes. As somone said in a previous post we have had more midweek home games so far this season and those have actually been higher attended compared to last season.

There was me thinking the i meant independent. Meaning that they are separate from the club so the club would be under no obligation to offer them any tickets before general sale. Going with your arguement, I assume the club won't accept the donations from iMUSC's fundraising efforts come the end of the season then? That is a choice and something that imusc decided to do. If they want the same priority on tickets they should pay the same as the fan club and that money should go to the club and not imusc. As Tim said they are there for an independent voice for fans. That should not, by rights, entitle them to the same as a fan club run by the club which has clear objectives and benefits set out. Both get the travel concessions and if you want both join the fan club.

While a couple of steps of terracing on the open side would be a good thing, we need covered seats, toilets, control boxes, the ability to segregate and turnstiles to keep progressing up through the leagues. At the moment we have the luxury of Conference sized crowds, with the facilities and wages bill of the Ryman League. As we progress, something will have to be compromised.

The original idea to rebuild the north/chatham/springfield end was the best idea being steeper stepped improved terrace sight lines plus extra seating and a new turnstile off whatman way would have adequately addressed the immediate issues however obviously cost is the deciding factor. Extension of the main stand alone wont resolve the current issues in my humble opinion. The new health and safety rules for stadia that affected our build seriuosly curtailed the expected capacity but the sight lines have nothing to do with health and safety and remain poor for all not in the main stand. I would have thought that retractable/movable terracing on a small scale could be used on the riverside providing economical and practical temporary solution. There are lorry trailers with fold out seats or in built seating that could be reversed onto the riverside you could line up a couple each side of the dugouts on a hire scheme and these could then easily be moved if necessary.
A more long term solution is to permamently relocate the service pipes under the riverside relocate the springfield terraces to that side and proceed with the redevelopment of the springfield end....now where did i leave that million quid i had laying around?

I think the panic was about people who couldn't make any of the allocated time slots, and who would rather get on their high horse on a forum than take the common sense approach of phoning the club.

Any idea how many tickets are left - and is it worth me going down to queue?

The point being that the club won't offer iMUSC members any decent incentives because they view them as 'independent', yet are more than happy to come cap in hand for the monies raised by iMUSC each season - smacks of hypocrisy to me

Went to Biggleswade last week, seemed to be a much smaller ground and main stand but their official capacity is 3,000 As was Bourne Park Sittingbourne and many others. These are older grounds and not affected by new stadia development rules as our ground was.
