Shame about the dickheads who like to throw beer striking again. How about a bit of self policing in there lads? You were quality otherwise. Just a good thing one of our players clocked it before their keeper or ref. Was it deliberately thrown or just went up when the guy lost it in the reaction to our second goal? It looked like more of an accident or just exuberance from where I was standing, just behind and to the right. But the fact that the 'glass' ended up so far away in front of the goal does make me wonder. I'm not at all sure the ref didn't see it, their goalie certainly did. And the ref went over to the benches afterwards and had a word with someone - although I'm not sure who, or whether it was related. There was also a lot of toing and froing by security people and stewards down the Town end afterwards, which might have been related. And two of the security people stood one either side of the goal at the end - on the pitch. They don't normally do anything like that, so I suspect the club thought there might be trouble. And if the club thought that, I'm pretty sure the ref would have thought so too, so I wouldn't be surprised if he reports the incident back to the FA or IPL. We need to stop this sort of thing happening, accident or not.

We love you Maidstone ........what a game ,well last quarter ..poop in the first half we must sort that out!! 2nd half playing against a very very poor ref..and some very streetwise 'arrow ,who played the ref with some shocking time wasting and ,pretend injury's,they had a goal keeper who took 2 minutes to kick a ball out ...some real cheats out there..our boys kept at it.,and showed a real professionalism , to get the job done. Justice with 7 mins added .suppose he had to make amends for two penalties that were not given...Quality of our team shone through in the end. 1350 ,With about 10 away from HB ,a great crowd for a Tuesday night with chumps league season starting for the first time. and the 3rd home in 8 days wd. I missed watching Liverpool's first champ league game in 5 years to go tonight. Very happy I did too.

Whoa ! I missed the game, my friend relayed the going-ons in the fist half but his battery went dead at the start of the second, so I kept tract of the game online. As the game was entering it's final 10 minutes I thought that we would lose the game, I was pretty annoyed after the recent good performances that I saw ... then it was 1-1 ... at least I thought we got away with a draw ... next time I checked we had scored a second goal !! Yeepee !! 5 points clear, a good result on Sat. at Lewes now, and it will set us up for a cracker next Tues. ... We can be in "Dreamland" ... pardon the punt !!. Franie Collin la la la la !! ... What a player ... Well done to everyone, the difference this year is that we have the players to do the job and we have a good bench that can come on and change the game too.
C'MON YOU STONES !! Allez les Ambres et Noirs !!

The club reacted to the drink being thrown by putting the stewards behind the goal, this was nothing to do with the ref. We also put more stewards on the tunnel and changing room area just in case any supporters wanted to have a pop at the ref or any of their players. There were one or two insults being thrown around but to be honest I think the Harrow players were so peed of with losing the match they didn't react, their goalie just kept his head down as he trudged off.

Can someone explain to me why Frannie's goal wasn't allowed because I just watched the highlights and it wasn't offside?

Cos the linesman was no better than the referee. In fact neither linesman was up to much, neither of them spotted the keeper at least a yard outside the box virtually every time he kicked the ball out of his hands.

At the end of the day its a thankless task but without them we wouldn't have no football to watch

For a player to be on side there must be TWO players between him & the goaline, usually the goalkeeper is one of them, not in this case . correct decision.

Agreed, it was the correct decision, the goal was disallowed for offside as when the ball is headed forward Frannie is between the goalkeeper and the man on the line. Fair few penalty appeals in there as well.
