Pleasure to be at Enfield yesterday, interesting stadium and great / knowledgeable fans. Not sure we can take too much from a win against a team that is perhaps still finding its feet and gelling, but as said before, we are turning draws into wins this year. Players like Bodkin and Miles have really upgraded our strength this time round. Also we are now keeping more clean sheets, a lot more solid at the back, last year we were conceding goals against the poorer sides. Could make a huge difference at the end of the season if it comes down to goal difference... Does anyone know how many clean sheets we kept last year in the league?... Some idiot had to research this ...... - I reckon we kept 14 in the league last year. A most telling stat is that we only kept 2 in the last two months of the season ( v's Wingate 22 / 02 & v's Grays 26 / 04 )- that's why we didn't make the playoffs.

8 wins from 9 is great going in anyone's book. Credit where its due. They have beaten whatever has been put in front of them. Hornchurch gave the Galacticos of Margate a game yesterday.
Enfield had won both their last fixtures under a new manager bounce and I for one was concerned about them. A 4-0 win away against anyone is good going.
Sometimes I wonder what it will take for people to get behind them without some sort of aside about well we only won because...

But watching yesterday's game Enfield really weren't much cop, even their own fans were admitting that. The chance that Fleeeeeeeeeeesher missed at 0 - 1 , well, you'd see a better effort at playing an offside line by a defence in the Invicta League.

But you could also say we made them look ordinary, poor, or we contained them and dictated the play.

Easily the best all round display of the season! Looked a threat every time we attacked could of won 7/8 nil but the 4 was good! Looked organised and solid across the back and midfield and didn't have any funny spells or let them get in or get back into the game! A clean sheet a massive plus again and every man out thee worked hard and put in a shift let's keep this up!

Mind you, only reinforces my point even further about a failure to keep clean sheets at the end of last year costing us dear.

This is nit-picking and I don't want to do it, but the urge is just too great...
I don't think it was our failure to keep clean sheets that cost us so dear, it was the number of draws.
OK, so a win becomes a draw when we fail to keep a clean sheet, but if keeping cleans sheets really was our main problem, I contend that we would have lost more games than we did.
Looked at another way, we drew so often when we could/should have won, because we never scored that extra goal. So, to me, our inability to score goals was what really kept us down.
Although I'll concede that nearly always letting one sodding goal in didn't exactly help...

Quite a good report - but they badly need a proof reader!
