Vickers made the renowned Vickers heavy machine gun introduced to the British Army in 1912 and used in increasing numbers during the first world war. An instrument of death and I would suggest taking two to ensure maximum protection in the land of the 'cocky-knees' P.s. No, not going. An Awful bit of kit...Rubbish in most ways, water cooled and jammed all the time ,cumbersome and a real mission to move around the battlefields it only started WW1 because its all we had,Phased out,by 1915 for the vastly better Lewis Gun.

From memory, the best parking option is in Old Road. How easy that is depends on how many people turn up ( & how late/early you are ). Any parking restrictions that you know of? there are maybe 30-40 parking spaces at the ground though this area looks to be shared with the bowling club next door, plus a separate parking area 'strictly for players and officials only' Old Road looks to be unrestricted and plenty of space alternatively there's a big 24/7 sainsburys at the bottom of crayford high st with a very large car park, 4 hours free parking, approx 10 minute walk to the ground

For those who have asked about parking...or indeed for anyone who's driving... "Shepherd-Neame have arranged for all Maidstone Utd supporters car parking at the Phoenix Sports club Mayplace Road East DA7 6JT before the VCD away game, first come basis. The club house will be open for those who wish to use it and Shepherd-Neame have organised a lager and ale on special offer as this is one of their partner accounts similar to Maidstone Utd." You are hereby now known has Sensible Ant

The traffic last night when I went home was back beyond Swanley and not moving very fast. However the A2 looked to be quiet clear This was at 5.30, and wouldn't have got any better at 6.30pm My advise for anyone coming up tonight to check google traffic and if it looks bad, go up Bluebell Hill or through Snodland and along the A2 This information is brought to you by Tim Tims Travel!

Playing a team at the bottom of the league playing in green. Anything less than a 4-0 defeat to us and I'm happy!
