Suggesting there was more important things to do, like replacing Skrill as the the Conference sponsors?
He's very anti 3G, so not a surprise, he suggests there is no evidence that 3G is the future......but as with a lot of the anti 3G brigade they don't come up with alternatives.

You needed to follow the Twitter conversation following on from Alan Algar's post to know what I was on about. The general tone of the conversation was that 3G is a good thing and Algar is wrong

When the vote to give clubs the choice to install the successful 3G business model was rejected by the leading clubs in non league football in England it was around the time of mass postponements and so the benefits were clear.
However the full impact of "postponements" can't really be highlighted until the postponed games are played, and considering there wasn't a full set of fixtures last night, I'd say the games played were indeed rearranged ones and given the competition from the "television" last night could be conceived as a "critical" set of fixtures and identify the true impact of "postponements"
The average atttendance in Conf South last night was 265, only 40 more than the Ryman League, The Kent Senior Cup semi final between Dover and Bromley attracted 126, and whilst I don't know the costs involved in hosting a match I don't think Bromley will be expecting a cheque through the post for their half of the gate receipts.
Don't think we're immune to this "impact of postponement" because the one and only game we've had postponed was rearranged to an evening when Man U were playing Real Madrid and this led to our lowest crowd for a league game.
I'm pretty sure the chairmen who voted against 3G will be bemoaning the postponements and how their finances have been hit etc etc, forgetting of course one of the main benefits of 3G, and in the case of Jim Parmenter (sorry Dover Gooner) forgetting the fact he voted against a potential big derby against us......there were over 2,500 the last time we played them in the league at Crabble....but JP doesn't want this again.
On the subject of Dover (sorry again DG)their forum is awash with negativity including a thread entitled "RIP football at Crabble".......in which fans moan about the quality of football on offer, gates, lack of progression etc etc.......the ironice thing is, the thread above is entitled "3G or not 3G"......of which the last of the 206 posts says "Not 3G !!"........
What is clear is even when the answer is right there in front of people they still refuse to see it......even if we don't go up within the next couple of years these clubs (Tonbridge next year probably) will have no choice but to play on 3G....rendering their vote against progression even more meaningless.

Looking forward to Tonbridge & Dartfords' relegation. Poetic justice.
