Reading this thread i figure there will be a lot of knowing smiles from those of us that where there in the Kent League. Park at the ground, as for their supporters there isnt any, just club officials and friends and family of their players. There ok, but arent over impressed with anyone extracting the urine.

Are you going by car? Abbey Wood Station looks like a long walk to the ground. Where will you park? How friendly are the Meads supporters? My advice is don't walk, if you're driving from the direction of Erith on the A2016 dont turn left at any junction! The local estate makes Kandahar seem like a good place to go for your holiday! It was where they filmed 'clockwork orange' in the 70's Having said that, been there loads of times and once off the main drag the part of Thamesmead the ground is in is ok! Mind you if the bloody fog is as bad tonight as it was at the Dartford tunnel today, nobody's 'gan'

I will be there tonight for my first visit since the Kent League days.I remember going to Baylis Avenue two weeks running back then.Thamesmead beat us in the league and knocked us out of the FA Vase.On the subject of walking to the ground,DONT !!!..Get the 401 Bus from Abbey Wood station to Crossway and its a short(safe) walk from there.

The local estate makes Kandahar seem like a good place to go for holiday I've seen every episode of "The Wire / "Top Boy" and "Ross Kemp in Afghanistan" I reckon it'll be fine. Anyway, I'm probably going to be there stupidly early, any decent pubs where I'm not likely to get stabbed nearby? Went to the PSF there a couple of seasons back and the beer in the clubhouse tasted like it was been piped straight from next door....

Never been in any pub in Thamesmead and never likely to Thinking of the options; sewage in your beer, seems rather appealing! It'll be like you're back in the Hare and Hounds!
