What time does the appropriate train leave? I checked fares today for me and the misses: Ebbsfleet - Kings Cross- West Finchley about £63.00. Side up-London Bridge - West Finchley about £42.00. How much is a group saver and what time is the train and from where? If it was a Saturday I would drive but I'm not going thro the tunnel at 17.30hrs on a weekday. Ebbsfleet to St Pancras is £16 off peak return, where are you getting the £63 from!?! Well unless you were travelling first thing this morning, in which case Ill pipe down.

Is anyone going for a beer before the game. If so which one and how far from West Finchley?

I'm in the Lyttleton arms in Camden, I'll probably wonder down to the Batjemens in St Pancras then Northern Line it to ground. As for pubs over there www.wingatefinchley.com/guide.php

With Wealdstone's game being off, there is a nice opportunity to go top of the league tonight if we win!

Not going on political grounds! Our Maggie, England's rose - Still annoying lefties from beyond the grave

Not sure why my dislike of Mrs T makes me a leftie, Heathside. I thought Tony Blair was a liar and Gordon Brown joined a list of politicians in being utterly unbelievable in his failure to provide proper regulation on banking activities that led to the mess we find ourselves in today.
If you had lived through the Thatcher years you might have got a sense of what things were like. Still today, the debate is about how we can use more and more and more resources to create more and more and more things that we don't need so that a few very rich people can become even richer. When the debate becomes about fairly sharing what we have and working out sensible solutions for everyone now and in the future then I might become more engaged WITH politicians rather than against them. Unfortunately, we still seem stuck on the path of short term profit to benefit the 'grab way more than I need' brigade rather than thinking about life beyond today.
Still, I am buying land on a hill and giving my children a message to post on this board when I am departed and you are still around. Then the rose of the maidstone United messageboard will be annoying righties from beyond the grave, as they sink into the river.
Warm regards
NWS

If you had lived through the Thatcher years you might have got a sense of what things were like I did. I used to be a pit pony back in the day. When my mine was closed I came down South to make my name in foggy Larndarrn town as a shoe shine whilst perfecting a Dick Van Dyke Mary Poppins-esque accent.

Speaking of which my shoes need a rebuff. I shall expect you to collect them ASAP. I met Maggie a couple of times. Very down to earth and a lovely lady.
