The rain is the big winner in the Ryman League today!

A lot of clubs trying to arrange friendlies at short notice, on 3G

Reckon the crowd will be bolstered by other clubs fans needing a fix and curious to see the 3g. Be interesting to see if anything is posted on their own forums about the 3g as a neutral ish.

There's also already six Conference, 5 League and an FA Cup game all off. If only there were some sort of artificial surface that those competitions could sanction that could have kept some of those matches on.

It's ok though as all these clubs are cash rich and in no way struggling to make ends meet so these constant postponements will have zero impact on their finances......(sarcasm)

Was just wondering due to the GS pitch being played on everyday. What is the life span of the current pitch as I was told a pitch used often only lasts about 2 years max.

All inspections completed and only 5 matches on out of a possible 36 this weekend. I wonder how many of those 5 will be lost by 3pm if there's more rain.

The revenue in 2 years made from having the 3g would pay for a new pitch to be laid 4 times over anyway. It would benefit you and Woodstock.

Woodstock/Sittingborne & Herne Bay would both benefit from 3G.
Both grounds are in the bottom 2 of the playing surfaces I have seen at Ryman league level.

Our pitch is good for us growing potatoes so it does have it's benefits. I'm not trying to cause a row but I can't see 3G being accepted as you know for a fact as soon as a higher profile player picks up an injury they are going to blame the pitch

Best to get back on the bus to your squat, Gibba (oh how I remember those days although I did travel by car to the squat).
If a player wants to claim injury due to a 3g pitch then we will happily accept such reasoning, providing such a thing has never happened on grass of course

Wondered how long it would take for someone with an Arsene Wenger cheeky smile to comment. Hardly squatting when it's a permenant move :S
