Blimet nws what a miserable g!t you sound. Your Stones played very well against a good Ks side (you don't get to be top after 6 games by chance) who didn't play well and struggled with the unfamiliar surface. Your two goals were really well taken - but both at least in part due to our defenders' inability early on to read the carpet. As for the alleged pen just before half time - do you blag your way in for a fiver because you promise only to watch through one eye? You have a very good side, a lovely ground, excellent facilities and very welcoming staff. Your club, having experienced the same kinds of hardship we went through +/- 10 years ago, is definitely on the up. Cheer up you miserable old wotsit. C'mon you super hoopsa. Hee, hee..i'm reet miserable me. It was just a little poke at other stuff written earlier on in the week. Do you write on one half of the screen because your one-eyed approach is having a go at me about alleged penalties I never commented on. In fact, I wasn't at the game. I was listening in on my radio in Herne Bay. Glad you enjoyed the ground etc etc. It took us a long time to get there but we did it and are very glad we did. See you later in the season.

Oops. Sorry if I missed some in-jokes and sarcasm there, guys. There is no doubt that the pitch made a difference because K's played in a totally different way from earlier games on grass and thought themselves into a negative mindset as soon as the roll and bounce of the ball were a bit different - but that was our problem, not yours. I'm explaining not moaning or excusing. The bottom line is, whether we'd been playing on grass, plastic or a bouncy castle, you were fantastic in the first 30 and would have blown us away. You scored two cracking goals and got us all flustered by totally outplaying us. How the hell had you only won one home game out of three before yesterday?
Good luck for rest of the season till we meet again, on Feb 1. Cheers from sunny Surrey.

Kingstonians played a good game. for me the main difference was the goalkeepers, terry wogan was in top form and saved the stones from defeat. If derren Ibrahim had been in goal it would have been a different story (and I do rate derren highly). Both defences worked hard and the midfield battle was good to watch. god knows what will happen when alex flisher gets back to form?

god knows what will happen when alex flisher gets back to form? That might depend on controlling the pie quota's ( although I can hardly talk about that............. ).

Contrary to the anti 3g brigade the pitch doesnt offer an advantage to us as our away performance record last season was better and as you point out we havent had it all our own way this season either. The pitch has been independently tested for bounce roll and play characteristics and achieved results that were 97% the same as Wembley stadiums surface. So how it plays so differently and unpredictably is a somewhat of a mystery only known by those teams that lose on it as they are only ever the ones to criticise it
