As has already been said Orlando does try and make thing happen, therefore Hill for Flish after 60 -65mins Jay does seem reluctant to make early subs, and is a bit negative in his thinking, we were at home and should have pushed for the 3 points instead of settling for one Still missing that big No 9 imo, Booth has done well since getting into the side but cant keep playing game after game

Sounds about as good as going to the cricket today. As many goals as deliveries. Still, nice meals and all that I think we managed a bit more action at the Gallagher than the Oval! I hope your 'nice meals' didn't set you back too much?

A few observations from the game yesterday: 1) Lewes couldn't have been more negative had they played in black'n'white and transposed the two colours 2) How well did the pitch play? All that wet stuff on it and it played beautifully. 3) The bloke behind me (or TBBM for those 'older' WSC readers) made me chuckle; continually berating Jack Sullivan - even though he quite clearly wasn't playing - and then questioning exactly why the whole crowd was applauding Ade O leaving the pitch! He looked a bit sheepish when his mate explained it to him! 4) What a decent bunch the Lewes fans were; to travel up on a 1960's bus with a top speed of 35mph!

A game we should have won really, Lewes seemed more than happy to slow the game at every stoppage. No good the ref booking the goalie for time wasting in the 90th minute when he was doing all game. Hope not too many teams come and play like that but suspect a few more will, we just need to be more clinical if they do. Or even if they don't!

He had lean spells last season may be better to see if he can pull himself out of this one. With Hill and Smith available, I would put Flish on the bench for a game or two - he would be a great impact sub.

You're a decade too late for the bus Bryan. It's a 1950s RF.

I get the impression that most fans enjoyed that 0-0 home draw in 90 minutes of driving rain. Contrast that with the string of tedious, action-free non-events we endured at A**ford and S**tingbourne. That's what I call progress.

Would have to agree with you on point 4 had a nice chat with some before the game and found them most pleasent fans

great write up here theballisround.co.uk/2013/08/25/rain-men/why am i not suprised at this bit though lol You can’t help but admire the set up at the Gallagher. Warm welcome from all ground staff (apart from the very officious Stadium Manager who seemed to berate everyone, including his own staff), plenty of food outlets, three bars around the edge of the pitch, stewards who were helpful,

You're a decade too late for the bus Bryan. It's a 1950s RF. Sorry! Not a problem. I've just consulted with my dad, who happens to be a bus spotter. He has confirmed it us an RF and they were first made in 1952. He used to drive this one in the 60s. He did tell me a lot more but I found it to be more boring than this.

I know full well what you meant! I have had to put up with my Dad, a major bus spotter, all my life so I inflicting it on others.
