Suspected broken ankle for one of the Tonbridge players.

A quick update. The paramedic reached the lad and it appears that it may not be as serious as first thought. However he has been sent to Maidstone Hospital to have a x-ray to double check. All the best to the lad for a speedy recovery, noone likes seeing injuries to any players what ever team they play for and especially a young player

Why was the game abandoned because someone got hurt
I do hope that the kid is OK and survived with only minor injuries of course but it is a game of football after all !!!

Wouldn't be the first time a game has been abandoned due injury. It may be that he was in too much pain to be moved. Hopefully not too serious and he will be better soon.

Abandoned because there wasn't the correct equipment to move the player safely and it was about the 30 minutes before paramedic arrived, didn't look like a break more a nasty twisted knee.

That is of course that the lad didn't hurt his ankle, faint, swallow his tongue and have a heart attack !!!
Fabrice did't die by the way.
He is up and dancing and helping many , many people in the world from that football game !

He was dead for about for about 78 minutes. If your heart stops and your not breathing, be definition you are dead.
At our level people are going to get injuries that could be dealt with at the side of the pitch. Unfortunately we don't have medical staff at all games who will have the confidence to move them.
I was in a rugby match a few years ago the was abandoned due to a broken ankle. Pretty thankful they did stop it as it was bloody painful.

Injury prone in my last season. Dislocated right knee, out for four weeks. First game back, left knee gone. Didn't realise as it popped back and I played the second half (hard bastard). Four weeks later broke my ankle. Haven't played since.
