Vastly improved performance after the subs so credit to Jay for that, and surely he has to rethink his midfield choices and the idea of playing Frannie on his own. Orlando had some good involvement but fades in and out, so MOTM between frannie and sobers for me - Sir Garfield edging it

Ant is spot on. Post-mortem needed on out starting midfield - no creativity or imagination, and it was painful to watch. Brown must start next game. Sobers clear MotM!

Ain't it nice to be just talking about football and not anything else. Great win for the Stones away. Jay won't want to be taking too many risks at this early stage of the season so you can understand the cautious approach to team selection. Hopefully we can get some good results under our belts early doors and push on from there. Roll on the next game

Micky Phillips, Boothy and Browny made a hell of a difference, kept it simple but effective. Didn't think Orlando had a great game. MOTM for me was Jerome.

Carshalton seemed to have so much more energy & desire than us and will feel aggrieved to have lost. It was only when Alex Brown came on that we matched them in those departments and for the short period he was on the pitch he showed what is needed in this division. Also I felt that if we had someone like the Carshalton No. 9 playing alongside Frannie our attacking options would be so much better. For me Orlando is a wide player rather than a central striker

It was a very scrappy affair at times, when we got the ball wide like last season we carved them open, but we didn't do it to many times at all. Sobers for me was outstanding, Collin worked hard feeding off nothing, smith went on some good runs late in the game, brown was good when he came on indeed, and a cracking finish for the goal. I think they carved us open far to easy for their goal, and overall we huffed and puffed our way through the game, with doing to much, in the end it's three points and we will take that, thank you very much!!!
