My opinion of the day. Great atmosphere on the coach there & back. Stadium amazing and great game of Footie by 2 evenly matched teams. Very sad to see some of the antics on the way back. I was in the queue for a few Nelson Mandelas (I can hold my drink b.t.w.) and witnessed an exchange between a Maidstone Lady (her Husband and Son were with her) and a person of very low intellect nothing to do with the Stones, The lady in question offered her opinion about the shameful things that were happening and stood her ground, quite admirably in my opinion. Then she was subject to the most ridiculous comments about immigrants, Muslims etc! What the f!! Once again, although the day was fantastic and great to see all the proper Stones fans enjoying the day out, it was tainted for me to see the non Stones knobs

Otherwise there's a nice mix in this picture. Lots of women, children, minorities ...

I just hope robkentblue managed to get home ok and is alive! I tried my best to help him, asked about 4 people how you ask for a bottle of water at the bar... I did eventually get it, but some ended up down his tshirt (sorry mate).
Aside from that, not a bad day, all the negative points have already been mentioned so sharnt say anything more, trial and error and all that.

Sorry, i am not sure where I was when you were after a bottle of water, as you know i am partly French (but one generation to far down to qualify for French citizenship my mum can, but i doubt she will do that!) and speak both French and German, I am not fluent, but can get by.The ladies at the bar seemed to like the fact that I could ask for my drinks in French and smiled at me, either that or they were being patronizing!

Rolling - translating "beer" to "biere" is hardly a massive achievement!
Ref the photo - I'm pretty sure Les Apps has been to a couple of games at least over the past year or so?

Don't recognise 1 single person in that pic. EDL or former football hooligans on a jolly boys outing. Certainly not true footy fans. Not one single one wearing any football shirts. Not sure where this photo came from but could be worth forwarding to the football authorities if these were the lot at our game.

I wouldn't tarnish them all with the same brush, and there were also people who made there own way over and those on the club coach who were far from innocent, so to punish people on the basis of a morning photograph in Maidstone would seem a bit harsh

I'm sure there are some in that picture who had a good day out without being involved. I'm sure there's some not in that picture who were involved in what's being discussed above.
Simple as that, surely?

I had assumed it was, what with jt's past record n' all. Oh tempores, oh mores! So you did actually pass Latin A-level? The Cicero I studied said "O tempora, o mores!"
