The problem is that some people set out to enjoy themselves ,some people set out to be disruptive, some people can handle their booze, some people can't,some people give a shit, some people don't,some are oldies, some are newbies, spme travel as part of official travel, some like to travel independently. Whichever category you fall into this is a fair sample of life in general. I for one enjoyed the day along with mrs mo. I'm sure there are some who may regret what they got up to yesterday ,some probably wont even remember. However I would question holding the fixture on the first Saturday of the school holidays which must be the port of Dovers busiest day of the year meaning there was always going to be delays. I also think we were fortunate that the stewarding at the ground was so low key because if it had been a bit more heavy handed then yesterday could have become really messy

Very disappointing day out, yes i really enjoyed the game and ground but i expected far more than a lift to and from the game. At leaving Maidstone at eleven, i thought the twelve thirty ferry, in France for two so we could have a couple of hours in the town before making our way to the ground. But sadly not, the powers that be decided that we would only be allowed to spend a couple of hours at Dover docks because who ever made the booking knew the sailing was after two, And after the game there was not even time for a drink but enough time to sit on a baking hot coach for well over a hour. My only guess is the club were embarrassed by its own loyal fans having too much to drink and causing problem for the name of the club, as there were other coaches going any way, they should have know better. This is the main reason why the supporters club should always be independent of the club and run by the fans for what the fans want and not what the club wants. I thought it was a little strange that club formed the fan club months after the IMUSC was formed after yesterday in my view this was to take back control . ...and there was me thinking that it was to give supporters the benefit of priority ticketing for big games.

I was also disappointed that we did not get any time in Calais .. However I thought the main reason to go was to watch Maidstone United in Europe and anything else would have been a bonus .
After the behaviour of some of the people inside the stadium and on the ferry coming home I am not sure Calais will be inviting us back anytime soon
I was going to say the behaviour of some of our fans but I am not convinced that everyone at the match yesterday are regulars at homes

I think what a lot of people are also forgetting is the time difference as well and the 1hr 40min ferry time. It may have only been an hour so but thinking about it, maybe if it was an hour earlier ferry it would have only been 1hr (if that). Also with the fact the game was moved an hour earlier (to cater for OUR OWN fans). Yeah it may not have been to what everyone expected but the club have actually put on a coach for the fans to ensure that people could get to the game so credit needs to be where credit is due.
On the pitch i think it was a the real cliche of a games of two halves. It was good to see the performance in the second half, my only concern (well 1 of 2) is at the back, as soon as Sobers when off, Davies was pushed into the centre and did not look comfy at all.

I agree with most of what has been said before especially about the louts that TRIED to spoil the day. For those who want to know what happened on the ferry I don't think it should be repeated on this forum. I would like to thank Nadine for organising the trip and Im sure the complaints will be noted for future. I would think twice about going again but that was due to the louts who tried to spoil it. Im sure there is another way to arrange it without people trying to spoil it. The other thing is supporters don't help when they give their tickets away to other people without notifying the club. All in all a good first trip but much to sort out before another.

If someone could pm or email with some details about the events on the return journey I'd be very grateful. I'd also like to hear from individuals who have a grievance with the way the coach was organised or the events inside the ground etc.. I'm sure the football club would appreciate our help in resolving any issues that arose from yesterdays game and the Independent Supporters Club is here for the benefit of supporters.

The events on the boat have to be dealt with by the club. If people have complaints about the journey then see what you can suggest for next time.

According to the official site there will be a return game next season.
Perhaps we could focus on the game a bit? I appreciate the issues, and in no way suggesting it is swept under the carpet, but why give them attention they crave?
Great performance from the team yesterday and one we should be proud of

Very enjoyable game and I for one was somewhat surprised to be 4-0 up at one stage, I think the number of changes unsettled our line up but nevertheless it was a great game to watch with plenty of goals and some good performance by the players, looking forward to the start of the season. COYS

I had a very enjoyable day, it's a shame people are talking about a few idiots behaviour yesterday and not the buoyant atmosphere on the ferry out of Dover and the actual game itself. I thought it was a cliche "game of two halves" and probably a fair result over all.

A Maidstone supporter went up to one of the women behind the bar at the football ground and said " Bonjour , Je'mapelle Shakey"
He then managed to kiss her on the hand
A great moment
