As already stated elseware, this season I would be happy with top half mid table and prem security for another season, anything else will be a bonus

Utter tosh. We should be steaming this league by March!

after a few games we'll know. I remember the last time we went up to ryman prem and had hors...ham at home first game. the difference was easy to see. having said that we're much better equiped this time and less county league players and flipping great wods of cash so some say.

We will smash them all 5-0 at least. We've spent loads (or will spend loads), have the biggest crowds, the best pitch etc etc. We are clear favourites and will cane this league

Comparing our last venture into the Ryman Premier with this adventure is like comparing Tiesse and Collin. Totally different worlds. yes it is a major step up but last time we were cannon fodder.. losing 7-0 at Chelmsford etc etc and surviving (??) on gates of about 300. I think we will be there or thereabouts. Personally I will be disappointed if we are not challenging for the play-offs at least.

I think play-offs are should be a minimum we have quality in all positions and a strength in depth to.which hopefully will be confirmed soon .But i think more importantly what happened last season took everyone by shock with the crowds and the extra finance that goes with that. this season will be much different for Jay and the club .

If you have Jon Harley on Saturdays again (?) and sign another "big centre forward" like Saunders said on Kent Online, then you'll probably do what Faversham did last year in my opinion(look like you have an outside shot at the title until March, then comfortably settle into 3rd/4th).

Almost forgot about Jon Harley! Don't remember seeing his name mentioned per season? Mind you I've not managed to get to any of the games so could have missed something?

My friend Bob, who has a house in Fulham, says - We let our house to the Fulham fitness trainer back in 2001.He'd come over with Tigana. A year later after moving out he and his wife came to dinner. He happened to say that that morning the young full back on loan from Chelsea had been asked to cross balls into the box for heading practice. Apparently the crosses went everywhere bar the box- behind the goal, sailing way beyond, to the amusement of the player and the disgust of the coaching staff. So don't get too excited about John Harley! And do you know what? Having seen him play in a few matches, I didn't get too excited. Give me Tom Mills every time.

I think it was well known that the plan was for JON to play centre midfield, but with our centre backs injured or suspended, he went to left back with Tom moving to centre half. Pretty sure Jon would do a goo job for us in the middle if we can get him to play next season.
Seems pretty disrespectful to a bloke with around 400 league games on his CV to rule him out of an Isthmian campaign

Fine, if you don't want him, then I'll try and get him to move to Faversham I'll try my best to make sure he gets a space on the club's new blog(all things lilywhite) for an interview and everything (a blogging site. How very modern are we). In all seriousness, he didn't impress me much either but he has tons of experience in higher leagues and is versatile enough to be a regular starter if he's still around.

As everything in life, it's all about attitude. I didn't like the sound of Mr Harley from the moment I heard that interview he gave on arrival. He sounded like a man condescending to play amongst boys, as though he were doing us a big favour; but then he looked anything but the best player on the pitch, and only turned out when he felt like it. I'm with Headstone on this: always pick a man who combines talent with desire ahead of an unmotivated football-league once-was.
