Season ticket sales have now topped 500 (great effort) and e-tickets will be available from Monday 1st July. Will be interesting to see how this goes, hopefully the service charge is minimal to encourage its use. It has been limited to 1000 so should be 1000+ available on the day to pay by cash.

Terrible move by the club, this only goes to make things more difficult for folk like myself who don't have a printer but like to enjoy a nice meal in town before the game, which can cause a delay to such an extent that it is not always possible to get to the turnstiles in time for kick off.
For the big games it could be sold out now thanks to this new £10.60 admission scheme.
Why can they not get into the 21st century and add it to their app, so you just scan your mobile phone at the turnstile? (I'm pretty sure more people have a mobile phone than a printer - maybe a market survey would be required/should have been undertaken to confirm this).
I suspect this will only encourage more to take advantage of the foliage vantage point by the river as we saw towards the end of last season

Ooooh, good point well made JT - another issue - many will have cheap printers which blur the barcodes which in turn results in disgruntled queuers who are stuck behind said tight git who has to wait for someone to come and press a few buttons to let them in.
I'm sure we've all been there on these top quality airlines with their eticketing - you print off your eticket to make it nice and easy, you queue up with your eticket (in a queue which is longer than the normal check in line), get told your eticket barcode is blurry and have to join the back of the normal queue - if this situation was to replicate itself at the Gallagher, by the time you've had a nice meal and checked in it will be half time

Never had a problem with printed tickets before but yeah I guess it could happen. Hadn't thought about the phone idea though, now that would be nice, I'm sure it will come if pre-ordering tickets becomes more popular. With capacity now going up to 2500 I really can't imagine there being a problem with just turning up and paying cash except in just a handful of games when we might be full.

I assume the eticketing facility will not affect season/vip ticket holders and fan club members first priority for tickets. Also, are season/vip tickets gonna be issued before the friendlies so that the same priorities can apply to the more attractive fixtures?

I wondered the same thing Dave; come FA Cup / Trophy games are we season ticket holders going to get a chance to buy tickets before the e-tickets go on sale?

Just tried it out, bought a ticket for the Charlton friendly, worked absolutely fine, think the club are moving in the right direction trying new things, bet there aren't many level 7 clubs with online ticket sales.

Bryan I believe the club are only releasing up to 1000 tickets online so season ticket holders and fan club members will still have the opportunity to get there tickets for the FA Cup and Trophy games

Download some virtual printer software.Save to memory stick and print it off at work for free.

Ant…you have forever reserved a special place on the naughty step…and it is not a happy place!!!
If you don’t have a printer, but it is best to print it out, then our scanner will be able to read the code off your phone and, if even that didn’t work, we could simply sign you in online with your ticket reference number at the turnstile. A printed barcode would be speedier though!
Season ticket holders and MU Fan Club members will always get a priority on ticketed games…there is also the online cut off of 1,000 that we are able to adjust if needed.
And, of course, if you are a seated season ticket holder you can buy your seat in advance for all the pre-season games as we have the stand tickets here in the office for each of the games – just pop down with your pound!
In other season ticket news – hope to have the first batch sent out for the beginning of next week…I shall go away now x x x
