It's just posturing and threats. The Ryman League should just tell them to f**k off and start without them.

Or see common sense, let them in, and get on with it

September may be optimistic. Thurrock have lost their appeal today but wanting arbitration. From a fixtures point of view it is a simple solution. You just call Thurrock/Carshalton TEAM X. Arrange all the fixtures as usual and each set of games one team will be drawn against TEAM X. Obviously this game would have to be re-arranged for later in the season when TEAM X is known. As for the other games, all 11 fixture not involving TEAM X can go ahead as usual on the Saturday/Tuesday. It would be TEAM X who would ultimately suffer a fixture backlog. All other teams would have only a maximum of two fixture backlogs if the appeal goes on for yonks. Therefor the season can start on August 10th as published I don't know what would happen to R1N/R1S though or cup fixtures.

But the whole situation certainly isn't Carshalton's fault and I would argue it isn't really Thurrock's fault either.
FA and Ryman League have to admit they got it wrong or else it will cause havoc in three leagues!
The only other alternative is Thurrock are ignored and the season's starts (with or without them)

Looking at the Ryman League statement I think they will press on and issue fixtures for next week as already indicated. A problem will only arise if Thurrock seek to get an injunction preventing next seasons going ahead if they try and take it to arbitration. There is no guarantee they would get an injunction and it is likely to be a very costly business.

That is the FA and Ryman plan yes, but Thurrock are taking it to the European Court of Arbitration so it's not necessarily how it will pan out.
The whole situation is a farce - Favershamlion is spot on
