I assumed the brothers would be off to Hastings...but judging by their forum and Ade's tweets, this would be a surprise!
Although some on their forum are clearly getting the brothers confused (saying Ade was released but wanted to stay).

Surely with Ade, if it is a tax thing he is going to have the same problem whoever he signs for, unless he takes a pay cut. In which case he may as well stay with us

I don't entirely understand what the problem is in the sense that, if he has a good job that takes him into the 40% tax bracket then he will have to pay that rate whoever he plays for and with whatever he gets paid. If he gets to keep 60% of his wage as a footballer then that's bonus money in his pocket, isn't it?

It's all speculation at the moment, all we know is it's "tax implications".
Maybe he should set himself up an offshore company for his image rights, that seems to be the way around it nowadays

Agreed, the only thing could be to do with the cost of travel from his home (Hastings ?) for training & matches. If he was expecting to pay for that from pay which is taxed at 20% and now has to pay it from money that has been taxed at 40% he might then wonder if it is worth the effort! If this was the case then a club closer to home, or one which pays him more, could well be an attractive proposition. Don't know of course but this could be something to do with it. Whatever it is, I hope we can sort something out for him as he was excellent at the end of last season

These are non-taxable so I don't really understand the tax issue. LCFC

Based on the players signed so far this looks a pretty good line-up...
Worgan Osborne Sobers Watt Mills Hill Phillips Saraiva Flischer Collin Draycott
Subs: Mitten, Lye, Booth, TBA, TBA
I would assume that Harley could be available again on a non-contract basis and Woolery as an Academy Player. Just need another Central Defender although Steve Ward would be OK if fit.

I know there still plenty of time to get new faces in for the new season but at the rate players are leaving Jay is going to have a very busy month. Midfield worries me a bit. We need a couple more quality in depth. Cover for Tommy Mills and Ozzy and one more upfront. Was hoping to see Alfie Pavey get a good run this season but hey ho

Dean Rance? Heard he was off to Ebbsfleet, be nice if not!
Dover fans sounding very bitter about the idea "f**k Maidstone and there glory hunting 2000 anyway . Bet they take about 20 away."
