This Saturday should see us break through the 50000 fans through the gate barrier since the Brighton game. All those seasons getting 300 to 400 average seem a lifetime ago. Playing at places like Lydd and Aylesford rec in the lower reaches of the county league which for some won't forget.
I know its been said before but a huge thanks to the owners again for bringing the club I support and love back home.
Lets hope we go up as champions then we dont have to worry about fans missing out on games. Take away the possibilty of the play offs the capacity has been just the right size for this season.

Yes a tremendous effort from all the supporters, old and new, you really need to be playing in your home town to build up the next generation of supporters. Hopefully it wouldn't cost too much to extend the town end and maybe some covered standing along the river side, having stood in the rain a few times an extra 500 covered spaces would be most welcome.

good stat binsey, my dodgy quick under educated calculation.... near half a million in gate money? plus merchandise and advertising? build the next stand pronto. whatever happens over the next week or so, its great to be a Maidstone supporter back home. think we should have a mass group hug before Horsham game

Yes, but let's not get too excited. The directors' blog says no more money to improve the team next season. As we've slightly underperformed this year (ie those draws at home), would we be better off staying in Div1S next season? My view nevertheless is no, our team should be able to hold its own in the Premier Division, although I worry that Welford and Booth may shortly be past their sell by date.

That's not quite what it says, "We will therefore not overspend either on first team budgets"[/i], it doesn't necessarily mean that money won't be made available should we go up, just that we won't spend beyond our means, which is fine by me

Blimey I'm agreeing with antstone I think it's important that we live within our means and not over spend, the club will have an idea Who is staying and who they would like to bring in, I think it's important we learn to walk before we run and safeguard the future of the club...COYS
