There is no way we would give up home advantage !
The idea of getting 3-4,000 in another ground is on the assumption the usual 1,800 who go to the GS would be willing to travel.....which I doubt very much.
Our fan base, because of our history, doesn't just encompass Maidstone. We have fans in London, Surrey, Essex etc etc, and giving up home advantage would potentially mean these fans wouldn't be able to get to the game in time owing to other commitments.
And as for the 600-1,000 turning up from other clubs, how many other teams have actually had a home crowd of over a thousand this season? Hythe v Folkestone is the only other game (which we haven't been involved in) to have broken the 1,000 barrier.

I have a solution for you all. Assuming (and a bit of a big if), you get to meet Folkestone Invicta in the play off semi, why don't you cede home advantage to Invicta? Ground capacity 4,000 (turnstile income split 50/50), good terracing on 3 sides of the ground (much better view of the game and much improvement on what you find at these newly built grounds ;-)), much easier to get to and park, train station less than 5 minutes away and several boozers within 15 minutes walk of the ground plus large clubhouse. What more could you want? Absolutely sensible idea! How to we get this ball rolling? I concur. What a splendid idea. If we're away we won't have the weight of expectation on the players shoulders. Actually why not get it moved to a neutral venue. Bourne Park caters for 3000. If that's not available how about Priestfield - it'd be great for us to play in a proper stadium like that steeped in history, tickets wouldn't be an issue either.
