Hi guys, hope you don't mind someone from Folkestone on your forum (although I seem to think not the first, who started the Hessy rumour ?).
I appreciate you are desperate to win the league and with it automatic promotion but I have a big favour to ask of you. Everyone knows how short of money Invicta are and any addition to the coffers is very welcome, well I have been looking at the remaining fixtures for the season and while we never seem to do well against the teams at he bottom seven of our remaining eight games are against teams in the bottom half of the table. I am thinking we could just sneak in to that fifth spot and if we did it would be great to have to play Maidstone in the first play off match. Big crowd, shared gate money and a bonus for us followed by you going up from the play offs and another £1,000 to us from the Kingy deal.
So guys please save us the possibility of a trip to Dulwich on a Tuesday in early May and let it slip !
Thanks in advance for your cooperation

I'm afraid that i've a feeling that the little village down the road from you by the name of Hythe is going to pip you for that 5th place.

I thought by the name of this thread that it was a Maidstone supporter asking Hythe to do us a favour this afternoon. Please.
Also, by "Under" I hope soulstone means under 5th position. As Jan says we were so close ourselves not that long ago, and now look at us.

Another Invicta fan here (been lurking on your forum since the King deal was first mooted).
Trying to put some balance on this thread that my fellow Invicta 'fan' started, it would probably best for all for Maidstone to go up automatically & Folkestone to have a play off win vs the village down the road from us. Should be a bumper crowd for that one.
Makes far more sense. All the righteous win!

Admittedly haven't seen all the other play off candidates but would be reluctant to be facing your neighbours up the road. Very spirited and well organised team who know their strengths and play to them.
