Over the last few months there has been a lot of cricism aimed at the players (Stuart King in particular), the management and the reasons behind why we haven't won the league already.
Having watched the highlights from Saturday that move involving King, Mills and Flisher was surely one of the best moves seen at the Gallagher this season, of course being 3-0 up we could afford a bit of show boating but it really was quite brilliant.
Interesting also that the three players involved are all contracted to the club and so the future is looking good.
Mills has been pretty solid (again) this season, Flisher, despite his injury earlier on in the season is now coming back to his best and his goal tally for the season is impressive.
King, IMO, is just getting better and better, and is really starting to enjoy playing for us. Interesting the delusion of the Folkestone fans believing he didn't celebrate scoring against them, he certainly raised his arms and wanted to celebrate !
Hopefully we can extend Steve Watts loan period until the end of the season, and who knows, being a Maidstone based player he may have caught the Gallagher bug.
Jerome Sobers is also worth a mention considering the performances he has put in, considering he played without his partner at the back for half a game.

Judging by Steve Watt's Twitter he certainly has the 'Gallagher Bug'! Seems to love it here.

Top of the league or bottom of the league, people would still whinge. It's what footy fans do best. Whinging on Some of the other Kent footy forums is much worse than on this one though, I can promise you that.

In the KM this morning, Jay says that he's hoping to sign Watt permanently, brilliant if it happens. Said he could be captain next season. Makes perfect sense, hope going public doesn't upset others though. I'm sure he's managed it through.

Said he could be captain next season. Strange, thought we had a captain, I wonder if he's talked to Shaun?

Personally I think defenders make the best captains.

Personally I think defenders make the best captains. Agreed as a general rule. Andrews certainly proved an exception

Would agree, but wasn't my point!

The key point is Jay says Watt 'could' be captain not 'will' be captain. Sean 'could' be captain next year too.

Just maybe he'd have been better off saying nothing other than to himself at this stage!

Firstly, defenders generally make better captains as the game is generally in front of them. Secondly, Shaun hasn't been starting every game and personally I think that's probably wise - I think we've generally been better when rotating the forwards a bit so that none of them get tired after a long run of games. Watt is much more likely to start and finish every game.

Yes, yes and yes, Steve! Just think having got a skipper, it's better to say nothing until the close season Unless of course he's had that discussion with Shaun, even then I don't think it's necessary to go public

If you're referring to the Ben Davisson situation, then it's hardly the same is it? Imo, releasing the little snippet about Watt being captain to the press, could have upset the current skipper and maybe some of his team mates, for no gain! As for moaning, I don't think so!
